This document provides an orientation for a General Mathematics class. It outlines the curriculum, objectives, schedule, learning methods, assessments, requirements and grading system. The class will cover algebraic, geometric and trigonometric concepts over 6 weeks using synchronous live video classes and asynchronous self-paced learning. Students will complete individual assignments, group projects, quizzes and exams. Active participation in online classes and meetings is required. will learn to use mathematical analysis and problem solving to
prepare you for advanced courses.

7. Learning Methods for this Course
WE WILL USE A COMBINATION OF ONLINE LEARNING
TECHNIQUES TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE CAN MAKE THE MOST
OUT OF OUR LESSONS.

8. In this method, we will all log into a virtual classroom at a
set date and time. We will interact with each other as I
teach the lessons and you participate in the discussion. We
will be using video conferencing and live chatting for this.

will be able to access pre-recorded videos, worksheets,
assignments and reading materials. You are expected to
follow deadlines and we will be able to check in with each
other through email or during my consultation hours.

midterm and a final exam. They will
be done online and you will be given
ample time to complete them.

Projects that will be completed by teams
There will be two group projects for this class. We will use
the necessary apps and platforms for group discussions and
meetings, and you will be given enough time to complete
each project. The instructions and materials will be sent
out within the week.
