The document discusses modules and kits as pedagogical resources for eTwinning projects. It describes modules as having a modular structure made up of related but independent learning activities. The structure of modules provides advantages such as being ready-to-use, flexible to teacher context, and extendable. Kits are described as ready-to-go projects that are clear and concrete while also being flexible for different teacher interests and aims. Both modules and kits can include icebreakers, cultural awareness activities, creativity tools, and activity suggestions for integrating technology like podcasts and video.
Pronouns can replace nouns in sentences. Common pronouns include I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they, me, him, her, us, and them. This document discusses identifying a pronoun's antecedent, which is the noun the pronoun refers to. It also provides examples of changing nouns to pronouns in sentences.
This document summarizes the evolution of eTwinning, an initiative to encourage school collaboration across Europe, from its launch in 2005 to 2009. It describes how eTwinning has shifted from a static website (eTwinning 1.0) to incorporate more interactive and social features inspired by Web 2.0, including user profiles, forums, blogs, and networking tools (eTwinning 2.0). It also outlines new learning events and groups being piloted on the platform and considerations for how eTwinning can further embed digital skills and web-based learning into school curricula.
Fred Gipson grew up in the Texas hill country and left the University of Texas in 1933 to become a reporter. He is best known for writing Old Yeller (1956) and Savage Sam (1962). Old Yeller is set in the 1860s and narrates several months in the life of a fourteen-year-old boy left in charge of the household while his father is away. The boy adopts a stray dog, Old Yeller, who helps protect the family on the frontier. Both Old Yeller and Savage Sam were adapted into popular Walt Disney movie adaptations.
1) The document summarizes the development of eTwinning, an initiative to encourage school collaboration across Europe through online projects and partnerships.
2) eTwinning has evolved from an initial focus on formal projects (eTwinning 1.0) to incorporate more informal collaboration, networking, and user-generated content through enhancements to its online portal (eTwinning 2.0).
3) The speaker advocates for fully integrating Web 2.0 technologies and eTwinning into the three pillars of education - curriculum, teaching process, and assessment.

The document discusses eTwinning, a European Commission initiative to encourage cooperation between schools across Europe through online partnerships and projects. It provides background on relevant EU policies promoting quality education and lifelong learning. eTwinning aims to support priorities like curriculum development, equity, and teacher professional development. The philosophy emphasizes connected intelligence, innovation, learner empowerment, creative thinking, and inspiration. Challenges include increasing eTwinning's impact, developing online facilitation skills, and building a self-regulated community with peer support. It recommends schools establish eTwinning teams of multiple teachers to better achieve project goals and visibility.
This document provides an overview of the professional development opportunities available through eTwinning. It outlines several formal and informal options for teachers to get involved in learning and collaboration, including browsing the eTwinning portal, using the desktop tools, participating in projects, learning events, groups, and workshops at the national and regional levels. The document emphasizes that eTwinning offers a network for ongoing professional development and that getting started can be as easy as informal contact with other eTwinners or checking the daily opportunities on the desktop and national portal.
The document provides an overview of the ancient Greek city-states of Athens and Sparta between 700-338 BCE. It describes the basic structures and governments of the polis system, and highlights some key differences in Spartan and Athenian society, politics, and military training. Sparta was a strictly disciplined military state where males lived communally and underwent rigorous training from a young age. Athenian democracy developed after reforms eliminated the aristocracy and monarchy.
