AIESEC provides exchange participants opportunities to gain work experience in new cultures through volunteer projects related to NGO management, social business, education, and community development. Participants act as cultural ambassadors, bridging understanding between communities and creating global citizens through cross-cultural learning. Projects focus on teaching youth, providing access to education, and empowering communities through activities involving literacy, languages, human rights, gender equality, and youth empowerment.

7. OUR PROJECT TYPES
AIESEC provides exchange participants with opportunities to develop professional skills in new cultural
settings. Our volunteers gain hands­on experience working with NGOs and small businesses in communities
to develop relevant and culturally suitable solutions to local problems. Projects surrounding this issue may be
in the fields of marketing, micro­finance, NGO management, social business, or organisational development.
Exchange participants will be the ambassadors of Hong Kong. Bridge cultures of a nation to promote
tolerance and understanding between communities. Create global citizens by developing cross­cultural
learning dialogues to showcase their traditions and learn those of their hosting countries.
Teach the world’s next generation by providing a foundation of knowledge and empowerment. Help
provide youth and adults with access to basic education understanding and of global issues through youth
literacy, language education, human rights, gender equality, and youth empowerment. Be a role­model for
communities abroad.

8. SAWASDEE THAILAND
PROJECT 13
It was my first time to be a
teacher and lead a group of
students to have English
activities. I was quite nervous
at first because I did not know if
the students would like me and
whether they could understand
my teaching. Surprisingly, the
students welcomed me a lot.
They always said “Teacher
Matthew”, “Teacher, shake
hands!”. During class, most of
them were active learner. They
enjoyed the class very much
and willing to learn English.
They even said “I love teacher
Mat” at the end! That’s so
sweet and touching!

9. WE ARE THE YOUTH
GENERATION
My project requires EPs to
make a documentary to
promote Cluj­Napoca in
Romania as the winner of 2015
European Youth Capital. In this
project, 22 of us need to create
website and write posts on
social media for promotion
while doing interviews, taking
videos and photos for the
documentary. I realized how
important to have a leader for a
team, especially this is the first
time for all of us to make a
documentary, as team
members can only assist
and cooperate with each other
with what the leader instructs.

10. SMARKETING
Every organization needs
promotion to spread their
visions and gain more support,
especially for non­government
organization(NGO) which
strongly rely on the public
support. My job is promoting
Casa Vida, the NGO that
provides accommodation and
food for poor patients. The
organization gives me a lot of
freedom to think of the
promotion plan. Updating their
facebook page is one of my
daily job, that involves slogans,
posters, videos and photos.
