For the movie High School Musical, the document author created a backboard and sourced a basketball net for a scene involving basketball. To make the backboard contextually correct, they looked at backboards from American high schools to design one that created the illusion of being real despite using different materials. They also watched scenes from the movie to design a backboard and net that looked similar. Before drawing designs, they found a picture of a backboard and net and altered the sizes to fit the set space and be correct for the script.
