The majority of respondents were males in their 20s-30s who were students or employed. Most iPhone users viewed and clicked on ads sometimes, while Android users were more likely to never view or click on ads. Both groups primarily took no action after viewing ads. Entertainment, games, and social networking were the most frequently used app categories. Android users expressed varying levels of concern about security.

Most users had full-time employment (iPhone 70.1%, Android 70.7%) and lived with their families (iPhone 43.9%, Android 40.1%). Annual personal income was mostly reported as under 10 million yen for both (iPhone 49.7%, Android 55.3%). The most used tools were found to be news (iPhone 93.5%, Android 92.9%).

This project is for a level 2 certification with The Engagement Alliance. Most of my work and future work will be in healthcare. I lost my father to diabetes related illness. Both of his parents died from it. I believe gamification can help more people get engaged about the disease and save lives.

The Springfield YMCA is offering a diabetes prevention program to address the high rates of prediabetes and diabetes in Hampden County, Massachusetts. The year-long program involves 16 core weekly sessions in the first six months focusing on healthy eating, becoming physically active, and tracking progress towards the goals of losing 7% body weight and increasing physical activity by 150 minutes per week. The program is based on research showing that making these lifestyle changes can prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes by 58-71% in adults over age 60.

Our purpose at WW (the new Weight Watchers) is to "inspire
healthy habits for real life. For people, families, communities, the
world - for everyone." For 56 years, we’ve been a leader in weight
loss. Now, however, our mission is bigger and broader: drive health and wellness, making healthy habits accessible to all, not just a few.
The question is, how do you deliver on that? Humans are notoriously fickle, stubborn, and irrational. They don’t always do what is in their best interests. Moreover, behavioral change and habit forming is genuinely hard. It is all too easy to skip going to the gym, to resist that extra cookie, or to take time for yourself and reduce stress.
In this session, we’ll discuss what’s involved in behavioral change
and nudges, and how the WW data science team are working on
personalized experiences, various recommenders, and other data
products at scale to aid our members’ success.

Since our release of the PGx capabilities in VarSeq, we’ve had a few months to gather some insights from various use cases. Some users approach PGx workflows by means of array genotyping or what seems to be a growing trend of adding the star allele calling to the existing NGS pipeline for whole genome data.
