Scrabble Club Pokhara (SCP) was founded in 2015 with the help of American Corner Pokhara and English Language Fellows to promote learning through activities like scrabble competitions and trainings. It has since expanded to over 40 districts in Nepal and 15 international coordinators. SCP holds national and international scrabble championships annually and other educational activities. Recently, SCP facilitated online training for over 200 teachers on using gamification tools like scrabble, quizzes and coding in their classrooms to make learning more interactive and fun. The training was well received by teachers and led to increased engagement from their students. SCP aims to continue promoting transformation in education through collaborative learning networks.

Nearpod, Coding, Mobile Applications, Quizziz, etc.
Phase I: 2 hour-online orientation on Feb 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13
Phase II: Self-practice into classrooms and sharing in the Private Facebook group ‘Gamification in Learning’
Phase III: Reflection on 2 hour-online sessions in May, 2021
Participants were divided into FIVE Groups (A,B,C,D,E) and each mentor had ONE session per day to these groups.
All the participants are receiving the e-certificates.

8. Professionalism in Teacher Community
-TPD is currently in vogue, and its ubiquitous use threats meaning!
-There are confusions about the fundamental concepts driving the
initiative, followed by inevitable implementation problems.
-So-called reforms have failed to bring about the desired results!
-Let’s shift from a focus on teaching to a focus on learning.
-Let’s create structures to promote a collaborative culture.
-Let’s join together for removing barriers to success.
-We are in an ongoing process of progress ...

9. Gamification for Transformation in Learning
- Instant feedback, interactive elements and a friendly
competition for engaging the learners
- Makes learning a fun! It reinforces learning.
- Positive change in the learning dynamics
- Changing the learning psychology
- Bringing theory to practical life
- Visualizing progress and feedback
- Splitting the subjects and making them interrelated as well
- Gamification is the catalyst to behavioral transformation too.

10. Gamification Network Through SCP
- Total of 230 teachers so far in private FB group- Gamification in
Learning
- Virtual collaboration in Facebook and sharing by 115 teachers
- Teachers from around 40 districts of Nepal and 7 other countries
- Finally more than 30 teachers shared Gamification Experiences
in the virtual sessions
- Teachers have presented evidences of responses from students,
parents as well as their fellow teachers.
