Students from GUMI University took the new version of the TOEIC test on August 17th, consisting of listening and reading sections followed by a speaking test. Some MK Education students went scuba diving and snorkeling in Anini-y, Antique and Boracay over the weekend, having fun and making memories. Students also delivered group presentations in English on various topics in front of an audience as part of their studies.

Her goal is to give students international experiences to help them gain a broad global perspective. MK Education Language School held a Korean Traditional Fashion show at SM City Iloilo on September 28, 2016 where students from MK and other schools modeled Hanbok, the traditional Korean clothing. On September 30, 2016, tutors from MK and Kpop models wore Hanbok during a Kpop and Hanbok Fashion show as part of the 5th Korean Festival celebration at SM City Iloilo. The festival celebration also included a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by VIPs and personalities from Korea and Iloilo for the opening. Korean twin performers In and Choo entertained the audience with a live singing and dancing performance during the festival.
5th k pop dance contest
The 5th KPop Dance Contest was held on October 9, 2016 in Iloilo City, Philippines. Six KPop cover groups competed in the contest: Beat by Arts, NXC Generation, Icrew7, DEFQT, RME 2G and BTXtreme Collection. Beat by Arts won first place in the New Generation category and DEFQT won first place in the Old Generation category. The Iloilo Korean United Community Association will discuss holding similar KPop events like a KPop Singing contest and Korean Speech contest in 2017 with the KPop Organization of Iloilo. These yearly events send winners to compete in Manila with free tickets and accommodation.

Isla de Gigantes is a remote group of islands located off the coast of Carles and Estancia towns in northeastern Iloilo. It takes at least 3 hours to get there from Iloilo City. The islands are blessed with pristine white sand beaches, bountiful fresh seafood, and jagged rock formations shrouded by mystical tales of locals. There are also many resorts where visitors can stay, including the famous Higantes Hideaway Inn owned by the tourism officer of Carles. fire drill
The school conducted a fire drill with the Bureau of Fire Protection to prepare for a fire safety inspection. A lecture was first held to instruct students and staff on fire safety procedures. The school's fire brigade team was then briefed on their roles and responsibilities during emergencies. A mock fire scene was enacted, and everyone successfully evacuated to the assembly area. An evaluation after the drill determined that through everyone's cooperation, the school received an excellent rating of 8 out of 10.

Topics are chosen by ELI students and teachers and they reflect personal points of view of the topics selected and facts and information researched by them.
ELI students dedicate time to make the best articles and carefully prepare their essays in and outside class. All ELI students participate, from beginning to advanced level. ELI wants to show their work considering their English level in order to become an academic tool for future English-learning students.
Most of all, ELI wants to show content related to topics students may have experienced while studying English in New York, an important topic in their home country, a current issue, or any other topic they decided to write about.
ELI is very proud of the academic work that represents the outcomes of each student, who not only learns English as a language but also is capable of expressing meaningful content-based language.

They took the new version of the TOEIC test that is consists of Listening and Reading. They also had their speaking test right after the two tests. These students are delivering their speeches during the group presentation. Each group prepared a topic in English and delivered it in front of an audience. Students taking the new TOEIC Test Group Presentation Students go to different places during weekends and holidays. Last weekend, some of them went scuba diving in Anini-y, Antique together with some teachers. Others enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the white sand beach of Boracay. It was a fun filled weekend and another memorable experience for our students. Students’ Tour
