About Efficient Fuel Solutions LLC
EFS was formed in July 2014, through the acquisition of patents and other
assets pertaining to the FuelSpec® combustion catalyst technology.
We manufacture FuelSpec® catalysts in Houston, Texas and sell it to energy
intensive consumers throughout the world. Our sister company, Applied
Efficiency Systems, LLC oversees the manufacturing of dosing systems for
FuelSpec® at a facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The core team member of EFS has decades of experience in combustion
catalyst, Fuel borne catalyst, & emission reduction catalyst.

FuelSpec® 114-05 Advantages…
• Registered with the EPA United States (EPA No 275520002)
• Protected under current and pending patent filings (US Patent No – 7524340)
• Offer a chemical solution that treats the fuel…no modifications are made to the
engines
• Increase in Fuel efficiency by 5-7% decrease in emission like CO, CO2, NOX & Soot.
• Totally safe for use on equipment, benign to the environment and all life-forms
Successful trials & Client list:
• Bharat Petroleum Sewree R&D centre – conducted trial on HSD as well as
on Fuel oil.
• Mylan pharmaceutical Nasik India trial on Fuel oil fired Shellmax furnace
• Shipping corporation of India Mumbai India – 8% Fuel saving
• Unocal lubricants India – On HSD DG Sets and LCV (Tata 407) – 7% saving
• MJ Infrastructures Bangalore India – On HSD DG Sets (KOEL) – 7% saving
• GE Power France – On liquid fuel fired gas turbine at Tihama site of Saudi
Electricity company – NOx & Soot reduction
• Siddharth Grease and Lubes Manesar, India – On Cummins genset – 8% saving
• Matson Navigation US – Shipping line on US west coast – 8% saving
• Claude Travis and Associates, LLC. USA – 6% saving
What Makes FuelSpec® Unique
• Fuelspec 114-05 is Patented Fuel borne catalyst does more complete combustion. It helps in
uniform burning of hydrocarbon hence FE increases, soot reduces and NOx reduces.
• This fuel additive particles are of nano size and has such a low particle size that damage to
equipment using the additive is virtually eliminated average particle size is 10nm (Metal
components of this catalyst are less than 1/5th to 1/10th the EPA recommended maximum limit)
• Unique mode of action: Organometallic compound of Iron and magnesium combined at a particular
molecular weight. Iron stores energy during the 1st half of combustion phase and releasing the
same in 2nd half, leading to burning of heavy hydrocarbons which needs more time to burn.
Combustion process multiplies by parallel action as heat transfer from air to iron and magnesium
then again from magnesium to iron finally from iron to aromatic hydrocarbons.
• Catalyst being very small nanoscale size spreads homogenously in compressed air thus are in better
contact with air as well as fuel hence can easily transfer stored heat energy to the fuel.
• Magnesium acts as cleaning and lubricating agent also. The melting point of these metal additives
are very high more than 1200 deg so they don’t melt and stick inside engine.

Cost Benefit Analysis on HSD
• Approx Per Ltr cost of Diesel – 1 USD
• Cost of Fuelspec 114-05 – Rs 60 USD / Ltr
• 1 Ltr will treat 4000 Ltr of Diesel
• Hence price increase of Diesel due to Fuelspec = 60 / 4000 = .015 USD
• Fuel efficiency increases by 5% hence gain per ltr of diesel is 5% of 1 USD is
0.05 USD
• Net saving subtracting additive cost = 0.05 - .015 = 0.035 USD Per Ltr
• ROI – 300%
Cost Benefit Analysis on Marine Gas Oil
• Approx Per MT cost of MGO – 600 USD
• Cost of Fuelspec 114-05 – Rs 60 USD / Ltr
• 1 Ltr will treat 4MT MGO
• Hence price increase of 1 MT MGO due to Fuelspec = 60 / 4MT = 15 USD
• Fuel efficiency increases by 7% on MGO on a marine engine so 7% of 600 USD
is 42 USD
• Net saving subtracting additive cost = 42 – 15 = 27 USD Per MT
• ROI – 300%
Market Potential of Fuelspec on marine fuel…
• Marpol 2020 will be effective from 1st Jan 2020 marine fuel will be having only 0.5% sulphur (hence
more refined fuel) the cost of fuel will go up by 20%.
• The global bunker fuel market was valued at $137,215.5 million in 2017, and is projected to reach
$273,050.4 million by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 9.4% from 2018 to 2025. Pl click the link below to

• Even the cleanest of marine fuel Marine Diesel oil & Marine Gas oil will have 0.1% sulphur is
1000 ppm sulphur. Fuelspec can give 7% saving at this level and nett saving close to 4%
• Fuelspec is under evaluation by leading Oil refiner in ME / India & a marine fuel additive company
which caters to 25% of marine fuel additive at leading Bunker suppliers like BP, Shell & Exxon.
• Even if we take worse case 10% of global marine fuel market converted to premium by use of
Fuelspec we will have fuel worth 137 billion x 10% = 13.7 billion treated.
• The cost of additive is 3% of fuel and gross saving is 7% (Nett saving 7-3 = 4). So effectively
Fuelspec worth 13.7 billion x 0.03% = 0.411 billion (411 million USD) will be sold by 2021
