FUEL (JavaScript API for Mozilla development) provides wrappers for common tasks like events, iteration, preferences and storage to simplify extension development. The 0.1 version covers application events, preferences and storage while the 0.2 version adds support for bookmarks, browser windows and tabs. FUEL is written in JavaScript, runs in Firefox 3.0 and higher, and its API is documented on the Mozilla wiki.
Firefox OS アプリ開発で利用できる開発ツールについてご紹介します。なおベースにしている Firefox は Firefox Developer Edition (Firefox 41) です。

Chocolatey - making the process of installing software on windows easy as pieJustin James
Chocolatey is a machine package manager somewhat like apt-get for Linux but built for Windows. No more searching for the install download or trying to figure out 32/64 bit or wonder what options to pick. Chocolatey takes care of doing the install for you and you can even create scripts to install multiple packages. With Chocolatey you can bring up a new development machine with minimal effort. By the end of this session you will have all of the information you need to be both a consumer and create of Chocolatey packages.Chocolatey isn't just for system administrators. It is extremely useful for both developers and end-users as well.For developers, you can quickly bring up a new machine and get all of your software installed on it with minimal effort. It is also very easy to make Chocolatey packages for your software and distribute it to your users.For end-users, no longer will they need to search for where to download your software or how to install it. Chocolatey will do all of the work for them.

In a recent Apache Flex project, we needed to implement automated user tests. Selenium is an (open source) tool for automating your browser, but there was no modern (aka working) extension for Flex applications. We've created the open source project Flexium, both a JAVA and ActionScript extension which enables you to communicate between Selenium and Flex.
After a brief recap of what p2 is and depicting the overall vision, the presenter will show how this vision is realized and how the improvements made to both the runtime (core and UI) and the tooling in Galileo pave the way for a better provisioning solution at Eclipse.
Keynote at Codebits in Portugal, April 2014, explaining the how and why of Firefox OS and how to use it.

Top Cordova Challenges and How to Tackle ThemIonic Framework
One of the best things about hybrid development is the ability to develop native-powered apps without being a native mobile expert. Thanks to the open source Cordova project, we can access native device features like Camera, GPS, and more, with basic JavaScript.
But, Cordova can also be one of the most challenging.
In this webinar, Matt Netkow and special guest Bryant Plano (Ionic Customer Success team) cover the top Cordova challenges and the best strategies to overcome them. Learn how to tackle dependency management, address failed builds, craft ongoing maintenance strategies, and more.

This presentation was used during a lecture I delivered in Hive Pilani 2015 on Firefox OS and Firefox OS App Development for newbies.
The presentation aims to educate the audience enough to smooth the move to actual Firefox OS Development. The presentation therefore covers topics such as - Architecture, Bootstrap Process, Layer View of the OS etc.
Extending eZ Platform v2 with Symfony and ReacteZ Systems
Presented by eZ’s Piotr Nalepa and Maciej Kobus
eZ Platform v2 is out and the UI has been fully redeveloped using Symfony as well as libraries such as React. You'll learn to quickly and simply extend eZ Platform's UI to fit your needs and add your own features to the platform. This session will go through the major extension points in the application and how to integrate your code—be it Twig-based classic web pages or with more modern and more interactive React.js code.
We’ll also explain what had changed in the technology stack of eZ Platform 2.x and why.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
DevOps and Testing slides at DASA ConnectKari Kakkonen
My and Rik Marselis slides at 30.5.2024 DASA Connect conference. We discuss about what is testing, then what is agile testing and finally what is Testing in DevOps. Finally we had lovely workshop with the participants trying to find out different ways to think about quality and testing in different parts of the DevOps infinity loop.
Slack (or Teams) Automation for Bonterra Impact Management (fka Social Soluti...Jeffrey Haguewood
Sidekick Solutions uses Bonterra Impact Management (fka Social Solutions Apricot) and automation solutions to integrate data for business workflows.
We believe integration and automation are essential to user experience and the promise of efficient work through technology. Automation is the critical ingredient to realizing that full vision. We develop integration products and services for Bonterra Case Management software to support the deployment of automations for a variety of use cases.
This video focuses on the notifications, alerts, and approval requests using Slack for Bonterra Impact Management. The solutions covered in this webinar can also be deployed for Microsoft Teams.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

• Emphasis on Firefox Extension Dev
• Improve portability
• Targeting Web Developers
3. Implementation
• Written in pure JavaScript
• (Users can crack it open and see how it
works.)

• Handle when a user exits thefn); application:
Application.events.addListener(“quit”,
7. Preferences
• Coverage of the most common preference
tasks.
• Get/Set Preferences:
Application.prefs.getValue(“my.pref”, default);
Application.prefs.setValue(“my.pref”, “value”);
• Extension Preferences: true);
myExt.prefs.setValue(“autosave”,
8. Preferences (cont.)
• Get all preferences that have been modified
by the user:
Application.prefs.all.forEach(function(p){
if ( p.modified )
// do something
});
