                 Midterm Presentation Project – Fall 2012

Topic: You will present a presentation based on Unit 3: Dream Vacation

Instructions:

   -   You should be present for the entire class in order to ask questions and support
       your classmates.
   -   You should speak for a total time of not more than 5 minutes followed by a short
       1 – 2 minute question period. Make sure to carefully time your presentation!

Evaluation: The mid-term is worth 20% of your final grade and is based on the
following:

a) Preparation: Presentation Notes and Practice
b) Content and Organization / Language and Grammar
b) Delivery: Eye Contact, Body Language, and Voice (stress, intonation, and rhythm)

Preparation: You will have some class time to prepare your presentation, however you
should do research outside of class using the internet and other sources.

        Brainstorm
        Organize: make an outline and write the long form of your presentation
        Prepare note cards
        Practice, Practice, Practice


Helpful Hints:
   -   Prepare in advance.
   -   Use the grammar, vocabulary, and structures we have been studying in class.
   -   Speak clearly and confidently. Show emotion and be descriptive.
   -   Visual Aids: You can you use one photo, but it is not required. Visual aids will be
       required for you final presentation.
   -   Really, learn your presentation. Do not just memorize and/or read your
       presentation.
Need Help? Ask me and/or your classmates for help


Remember to relax and breathe. Try not to be stressed and have some fun doing this
                                   project.
