However I am interested to keep track of what I´m eating. Whether I´m eating healthy…
Too much or too little..
I´m also interested to know what my friends are eating
I might discover new products or recipes!
This is how we came about the idea of Foodzy: A new social network where you keep track of what you eat and where you are rewarded for healthy eating habits.
Keeping track is easy, I just type a product name, find it in the database, select the right amount and add it to my dashboard.
Foodzy works with local databases: This way you’ll only search for food products that are available in your home country.
Like mentioned earlier: Foodzy rewards good eating habits. Like the Mr Brightsight badge for eating plenty of carrots.
But the best possible diet is to eat well, varied and most of all: Enjoy food. That’s why we’re also giving badges for BBQing 5 times in the summer.

Now one of the coolest features of Foodzy is that over time your personal statistics on Foodzy will give you lots of insights about your health and eating behaviours.
In the future, we could expand these possibilities by for example connecting Foodzy to XBox Kinect: Burnt a lot of calories? You can eat a little more tonight!
Foodzy launched as a webservice, but we are currently working on a mobile site and mobile apps to make adding food even easier.
Luckily, Foodzy.com is allready fully compatible with the iPad (and iPhone) so that you can allready use the webservice on these devices.
Foodzy’s business model is basic: Lite users get a free account, for €10 / $15 per year you upgrade to ‘Pro’ and get the extended dashboard, diet plans, more badges and food history.
In the future we also see great possibilities for food producers to get involved in Foodzy: Branded product icons, badges, etc.
Foodzy is currently live in private beta for invited users only. We hope to publicly launch in May 2011.
