An apple a day keep insulin levels balanced. They are
loaded with quercetin, known for reducing the risk of
diabetes and heart disease.
Beans
Beans are ideal plant based food rich in fiber. The fiber
in beans helps you manage your sugar levels
appropriately providing steady and slow burning
energy.
Berries
They are an excellent source of quercetin, a flavonoid,
which helps reduce blood sugar levels. Rich in fiber
they are the most sugar friendly fruits and it doesn’t
hurt that they taste good too!
Chocolate
Incredibly enough chocolate can also help you balance
your blood sugar levels! Cacao, raw unsweetened
chocolate, improves your blood sugar levels. Loaded
with vitamins, minerals, and powerful antioxidants, be
on the lookout for raw cacao beans, nibs or powder.
Cinnamon
Clinically proven to stabilize blood sugar and have a
healing effect on the pancreas. Studies show that just a
½ teaspoon of cinnamon a day improves insulin
sensitivity.
Oatmeal
The breakfast favorite! The fiber in oatmeal helps curb
appetite, decreases high cholesterol and balances your

Sweet Potatoes

glucose in your blood stream that can cause mood and
energy imbalances.

Broccoli
If you want to lose weight, then try eating broccoli a
few times a week. Broccoli has a great amount of
essential dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals, which
fills up your tummy.
Spinach
Add plenty of nonstarchy vegetables such as spinach to
your diet, diabetes experts say. These foods are high in
fiber and low in carbohydrates, which make them ideal
for people with diabetes.
Diabetes is the imbalance in blood sugar and the
impairment of insulin resistance. Insulin is similar to a
knob of the fuel tank which automatically closes down
when the entire tank fills. In our body the fuel tank is
cells and insulin allows a certain level of sugar to pass
on the cells. But owing to our irregular diet and hectic
lifestyle, increased blood sugar readings are growing.
