Over 5 million people have fled Ukraine and more than 6.5 million have been displaced internally while hundreds of thousands remain trapped as the war enters its fourth month. Both refugees and those still in Ukraine desperately need humanitarian aid, especially food, hygiene supplies, medical aid and medicine. A school in Portugal is collecting single food items to donate to displaced Ukrainians, noting that while some have already contributed, the war continues to destroy Ukraine and those remaining have extreme needs, so any small donation would collectively make a significant impact.

You might say, but we have already contributed in other
campaigns for Ukraine and it is true that just two months
ago, the community of AEFH was very generous,
sending, clothes, toys, food, etc. for refugees in Poland.
But unfortunately the war continues and Ukraine is
being systematically destroyed, leaving those who
remain there surviving in extreme conditions.
Times are difficult for many, so we merely ask those
who unable to contribute with more to bring just ONE
item – a tin or a packet of the products asked - and hand
it in at the school library. We are many, so together, with
just ONE item we can make a significant contribution.
