Proposed Plastic Bag Ban on Meredith's Campus
Banning plastic bags on Meredith College's campus is proposed to reduce waste and environmental impact. Each American uses an average of 500 plastic bags per year, requiring half a gallon of petroleum to produce. Less than 1% of plastic bags are recycled in the US. Plastic bag use pollutes the environment through oil and gas emissions in production and toxins entering the food chain when littered or ingested by animals. Several universities have already enacted plastic bag bans. Meredith has a history of sustainability efforts and aims to minimize waste through replacing plastic bags with reusable options and installing recycling stations.

La autobiografía cuenta la historia de Verónica Mora Rivera desde su nacimiento en 2003. Su madre, Ana Lucia Mora Rivera, era descuidada y dejaba a Verónica sola a temprana edad, lo que la hizo sufrir. En 2014, descubrieron que la madre de Verónica tenía cáncer de huesos terminal. Verónica se enteró de la enfermedad de su madre y empezó a llorar. Su madre falleció en agosto de 2014. Desde entonces, Verónica cambió y se volvió más fría.
