This document discusses two scientific articles about important discoveries related to gene regulation and cell division: 1) A new method was able to pinpoint specific proteins that attach to DNA in nucleosomes and regulate gene expression important for replication, transcription, and translation in both healthy and diseased cells. Understanding these proteins provides insight into the human genome and potential new treatments. 2) Improper cell division due to errors in mitosis can result in fragmented or "pulverized" chromosomes, which has been linked to cancer. This research area may help understand cancer development and identify new therapy targets exploiting vulnerabilities in cancer cells.
