It then discusses the folding and development of various organs over subsequent weeks, including the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and anorectal region. It highlights various congenital anomalies that can be assessed prenatally using ultrasound, such as esophageal atresia, intestinal atresias or obstructions, anomalies of the biliary system and pancreas.
