The Flowers Festival is a syncretic holiday celebrated the Sunday before Easter in Romania where people bring willow branches to church to be blessed and then decorate their homes with them, as the branches symbolize the fertility of spring. On this day, people eat fish which also symbolizes fertility, and hang tiny tin jewels called "little Marches" in wild roses or blossomed fruit trees.
