megadiverse countries in the world.It is home to
7.6% of all mammals,
12.6% of all birds,
6.2% of all reptiles and
4.4% of all amphibians.
33% of plant species are
endemic in India
The flora of India is one of
the richest in the world
There are estimated to be
over 16,000 species of
flowering plants in India
It is used to treat malaria,
hepatitis b, ulcers and
diabetes.

It is widely used for herbal medicine
and making home remedies, is also
used as an insect repellent

It is the most numerous and best known subspecies of tiger.
Half of the world population of Bengal tigers live in India
• It is the largest venomous
snake that exists.
• Can reach and even
exceed 5 meters in length
• With just one bite can
inject a torrent of lethal
poison
This snake is
revered in Indian
mythology and
culture, and is
often seen with
snake charmers
Is responsible for causing the most
snakebite incidents and deaths among
all venomous snakes
They contain 16 times more potent
neurotoxic venom than a cobra. It is
extremely powerful, and induce
muscle paralysis quickly
