The course will analyze works including folktales, the young adult novel Blood Red Road, The Joy Luck Club about mothers and daughters, and the novella Tell Me a Riddle about old women. Students will discuss concepts of sisterhood and brotherhood, and are assigned readings on feminist criticism and the novel Blood Red Road.
