It causes histamine to be released, a
powerful chemical which causes
inflammation

> Wheezing
> Nausea and Vomiting
> Severe itching
> Weak, rapid pulse
> Low blood pressure
> Tightness in chest and throat
> Shortness of breath
6. First aid treatment

1) Call an ambulance
2) Check whether the casualty is carrying an Epi-Pen
(or similar), and help them to use it
3) Lie the casualty down with legs elevated to treat for
shock
4) Monitor the casualty, and give reassurance whilst
waiting for ambulance
