6. Part 1. How to Download Videos
Before moving any further, it is necessary to get the program
ready. Here comes the instruction: click the "Free Trial"
button, save the program package into the desired location,
i.e, a file folder on the desktop. Once it has been downloaded,
open the folder, and double click the "VideoConverter.exe"
icon to install the program as per the instruction. Basically, it
takes no more than 2 minutes for the installation. When it’s
done, launch the program to enter its interface.

8. Now, let’s see how to download videos by taking the following
3 simple steps:
Step 1. To download videos, the very first thing is to find the
video you would like to download. Open the web browser like
Firefox, log into the video-sharing website, say YouTube, then
select your favorite video. In the address bar, highlight the
URL of the video and copy it.

10. Step 2. Reverting to the interface of Firecoresoft Video
Converter, click the “Download” button on the tool
bar, you will enter the “video download” section. Kindly refer
to the picture below:

11. Step 3. Press the “Paste URL” icon, the URL of the
selected video will be added in the interface; meanwhile, the
program will start to download the video automatically.
Please note that you are allowed to add multiple URLs in the
same way, so that you can download batch videos at the same
time. Once all videos have been downloaded, you will be
notified by a small window. Open the folder and you will get
the videos with 100% original quality preserved.

13. NOTES: press the “ Setting” button at the upper right
corner of the interface, you can customize the downloaded
video resolution (Best Quality/Medium Quality/Low Quality)
freely. Plus, you can also designate a position to save the
video files by hitting the "Output" icon.

14. Part 2. How to Convert Videos
As mentioned above, this program supports converting
downloaded and existing video files. The process of video
conversion is straightforward which goes like as follows:

If you want to convert the downloaded videos, simply click on
the “Import All” icon to load the files into the program.
In contrary, if you need to transcode the existing video files
from your computer, please hit the “Add Files” button
on the tool bar, navigate to the location of the source file and
load it into the program. Alternatively, you can drag and drop
the file into the converter directly. Please note that multiple
files are allowed for batch conversion at one go.

17. b. Edit Source File Optionally
A built-in editor is equipped to the video converter. Users can
make the full use of editing features to perfect the source files
optionally. Let’s take a look at all of the features one by one:

18. Trim:
Click on the “Trim” button on the tool bar, you will
enter a new window. There, you can cut the source video file
into several segments as per your needs. After getting the
desired segments, click the “Merge Trimmed Files”, you can
merge the files into a single one.

20. Split:
Press the “Split” button, a small new window will show up. In
the window, you will see two options – “Split by duration”
and “Split average”. Simply choose the one according to your
preference. Please be note that, the durations should not be
more than the original length of the source video.

22. Edit
Press the “Edit” button on the tool bar, you will enter the
advanced editing section. In this section, you can do a lot to
perfect the source file.

23. Rotate/Flip Video: you can rotate the source file horizontally
or vertically; flip the file clockwise or anticlockwise according
to your need. You can view the result in the preview window

24. Crop Video： Click the “Crop” icon, you can customize the file
dimension in two ways: the first is to drag the square to
define the exact area you need while the other one is to fill in
the blank of “Left”, “Top”, “Right” and “Bottom”. Besides, you
can hit the “Zoom” button to set the output video ratio like
Original, Full, 16:9, 4:3 freely.

26. Add Effect：Click the “Effect” icon, you are able to customize
the source video parameters including “Brightness”,
“Saturation” and “Contrast”. Meanwhile, you can also apply
effects ("Gray", "Emboss" and "Old film") to the file to make
it special.

28. Add 3D Effect: Would you like to make stunning 3D video
from the common video files? That’s easy. Simply click on the
“3D Effect” icon, you can choose “Red/Green”, “Red/Blue”, or
“Blue/Yellow” as per your requirement. Plus, the 3D depth is
customizable by dragging the slide bar freely.

30. Add Watermark: Press the “Watermark” icon, you will see
three options – “None”, “Image Type” and “Text Type”. Click
the icon next to “Image Type”, you can insert your
favorite picture from the disk into the source to set it as the
watermark. You can adjust the watermark depth freely. While
click the icon close to the “Text Type”, you are allowed to
add text (words, phrase, or even sentence) as the watermark.
Remarkably, the text font, font style, effect can be customized
as you like. Also, you can personalize the location of the
watermark if needed.

32. Customize Audio: Click on the “Audio” icon, you are able to
customize the audio of the source video file. For instance, you
can turn it up or down by dragging the “Volume” slider bar,
you can also apply the “Fade in” or “Fade out” effects
optionally. You can define the duration of the effect by giving
the specific time.

34. c. Set Proper Output Format
Piles of popular video and audio formats are provided by the
program. Click the “Profile” button, you can open the format
list. In the meanwhile, you will find lots of optimal presets for
most applications like QuickTime, Final Cut Pro, etc, media
devices such as iPhone, iPad, Samsung, Windows Phone and
so on. Make sure that you choose the format that meets with
your requirement.

36. After setting the output format, you can click the “Settings”
icon to customize the converted file including the resolution,
bitrate, frame rate, etc.

37. Furthermore, if you don’t want to save the converted file in
the default position, you can click the “Save to” icon to
designate a favorable location for saving the files.

38. d. Start to Convert
After finishing the steps above, you can click the play icon to
preview the final result to check whether it is acceptable or
not. Once you are satisfied with the effect, click the big blue
“Start” button to kick off the conversion. You can view the
conversion process on the progress bar which shows you the
completion percentage clearly. A small window will notify you
of the completion, click “Yes”, you will find the converted file
in the location you specified previously.
