THE MAIN THING THAT SURPRISED ME WHILE READING THIS BOOK WAS THAT I FOUND IT
QUITE FUNNY, WHICH I CERTAINLY DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE. I FIGURED OUT THAT THIS
BOOK WAS DIVIDED INTO FOUR PARTS WHERE GULLIVER GETS CARRIED TO FOUR
DIFFERENT PLACES MEETING DIFFERENT CIVILIZATIONS AND WE ALSO FOLLOW HIM IN HIS
EXCITING ADVENTURES!!!EACH OF THE FOUR CIVILIZATIONS IS UNIQUE BY ITSELF WITH ITS
OWN INTERESTING CHARACTERSTICS
FIRST CIVILIZATION: HE MEETS TINY PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY SIX INCHES TALL AND ARE
CALLED THE LILLIPUTS. THEY CONTRIBUTE TO THE HILARITY OF THE STORY .
SECOND CIVILIZATION: HE MEETS PEOPLE WHO ARE 60 FEET TALL, GIANTS.
THIRD CIVILIZATION: HE MEETS PEOPLE LIVING IN A FLYING ISLAND.
FOURTH CIVILIZATION CONTAINS HORSES.
HIS TYRST WITH VARIED CULTURES RESULTS IN THRILLING EXPERIENCES WHICH MADE THE
BOOK INTERESTING TO READ..

3. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT CREATED SUSPENSE AT DIFFERENT POINTS OF THE STORY AND I COULD NOT
MAKE OUT WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT!!! THE WAY THE WORDS WERE WEAVED INTO THE STORY IT GAVE IT A
MORE THRILLING FEELING!
THE STORY IS BASICALLY ABOUT A MAN WHO IS STRANDED IN A DESERTED ISLAND FOR ABOUT 28 YEARS. WITH THE
SUPPLIES HE IS ABLE TO SALVAGE FROM WRECKED SHIPS, ROBINSON CRUSOE EVENTUALLY BUILDS A FORT AND THEN
CREATES A KINGDOM FOR HIMSELF. HE FINALLY ESCAPES THE ISLAND WHEN A SHIP OF MUTINEERS SAILS TO THE
ISLAND AND ARRIVES IN ENGLAND AFTER 35 YEARS OF HIS DISAPPEARANCE. ON REACHING ENGLAND HE FINDS OUT
THAT HE HAD BECOME A RICH AND WEALTHY MAN.
AS THE NOVEL IS WRITTEN IN THE YESTER YEARS I FELT THAT IN MANY POINTS THE STORY SEEMS OUTDATED AND OLD.
HOWEVER I SOMEHOW FELT THAT THE AUTHOR, DANIEL DEFOE, WAS VERY DESCRIPTIVE IN THE STORY. SOME OF THE
CHARACTERS WERE ALMOST BELIEVABLE BECAUSE OF THE EXCELLENT ILLUSTRATIONS BY THE AUTHOR. ACCORDING TO
ME, THIS NOVEL CLEARLY SHOWCASED THE WRITER’S EXCELLENCE IN CREATING SUDDEN EXCITEMENT AND EAGERNESS IN
THE READER’S MINDS . THIS NOVEL IS CLEARLY ONE OF THE BEST STORIES I HAVE EVER READ AND I REALLY THANK THE
AUTHOR FOR PROVIDING US SUCH AN AWESOME READING EXPERIENCE.

centers on the years leading up to the French Revolution and culminates in
the Jacobin Reign of Terror . Set in London and Paris, it tells the story of two
men, Charles Draney and Sydney Carton, who look similar but are very
different in traits
• I particularly like “The Tale of two cities” because of its writing style , the way it is
scripted . I even like this book because of its animation , easy wordings and for the
way we can virtually imagine it .

best part is that it can be read by all ages. I feel that the fantasy world
of witches and witchcraft is beautifully portrayed by miss j.k.rowling ..
