                                  1
The Reality

Fossil Fuel production is projected to decline in the near
future.

•Oil production will start declining in 2012 followed by
natural gas between 2010 and 2020 and coal between 2020
and 2030.

•86% of the world’s primary power comes from fossil fuels.

•<2% of the world’s primary power comes from renewable
resources (geothermic, solar, wind, etc).

                                                             2
What are Green Technologies?

•Green Technologies envelops all technologies that have been designed to help the
environment and lessen our dependency on fossil fuels.
• It works on the principle of sustainable development.

                                                              3
Why Green Technologies?

•It will help displace the declining amount of fossil fuels.
•Better for the environment.
•Sustainable in the long term.
•Produce new jobs.

                                                               4
STRENGTHS FROM ADOPTING GREEN TECHNOLOGY

•Ability to meet strict product specifications in foreign markets

•Reduction of input costs

•Environmental Image

•Ability to meet stricter environmental regulations in the future.

                                                                5
Basic ideas of green technology

•Organic agriculture

•Water purification

•Sewage treatment

•Environmental remediation

•Solid waste management

•Energy conservation

                                     6
Technical advancement in this field

•Photovoltaic panels transform the sun’s rays into energy shoe that
converts the wearer’s footsteps into electricity

•Their campus, called Science city is installing systems that will allow it to
harness natural heat during the warmer months, pump it underground and
store it until the winter when it be pushed back up into buildings and act
as a heating system.

•Use of rubber to make roads gives long lasting roads without damages for
long time. Rubber being non decomposable is reused in best way.

                                                                     7
The Future of Green Technologies

•Government’s starting renewable energy plans for their nations.

•Government’s starting environmental procedures to help the environment
out.

•Human’s are becoming aware of the affects they take on this planet and
acting.

•The Private Sector is investing in green technologies for good PR and to save
money.

                                                                   8
CONCLUSION

Green technology becomes the main choice for the
products and services and has larger local market.
Increase of research, development and innovation by local
university/research institution to be commercialized
through local industry cooperation/multinational company
Widespread of green technology to reduce overall
resource utilization, by maintaining country’s economic
growth

                                                            9
