3. Internship
The purpose of my doing this internship was to
productively use my spare time during my college
holidays.
This has given me an insight into how a corporate works,
the opportunity to mingle with people, be part of a creative
team, do the task assigned to me judiciously, see the kind
of work done by Phase 1 on the field etc.
It will also be a good tool for me in the future when I will
be aspiring to do higher education, or when I apply for a
good job.

4. Phase 1
Phase 1 comprises of a dynamic team of people. The
events are widely encompassing and provide a huge
canvas for growth, learning and creativity. Even
though the Company is split into teams, all the teams
work together to make one good event.

5. Project 1
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is a music festival which is going to be held at
Cambodia behind the Angkor Wat temple. It is one of the
biggest events which is going to be held by Phase 1. It is
going to be an International Music Festival where people
from all around the world would come.

6. The work that was assigned to me was to do research on
all the Music Festival websites and get the attractions from
each website such as the countdowns to the festivals,
theme to the websites, etc. All the data had to be put into a
power point presentation and to highlight all the attractions
on all the website screenshots.

7. By this project I learnt how to use the Application -
Powerpoint and that before doing a big event a lot of
research and preparations have to be made and we must
understand what the world wants and we must find all the
provisions to give them.
And a lot of time, effort and patience is needed to put up a
Great and Successful event.

9. Project 2
Fastrack
The Fastrack Event was supposed to be held for their sales
promotions. They were targetting colleges as their brand is
meant for the youth. The plan was to have a dance event or
a fashion show which would attract the college crowd and
drive them into going into the store for registration and to
promote the brand by playing the show on television. But
unfortunately the Event couldn’t take place.

10. For this event I was a part of a Brain Storming where I had
to put in my Ideas for how to go on with the event. I had to
put in all my Ideas into a word document from what I have
seen at the previous college events. I also had to give picture
ideas where I had to get High Resolution images to insert
into the PowerPoint presentation to submit to the client.

11. Ideas can be thought of at a Brain storming much faster than
when you think of ideas yourself, because we have more
people, more thoughts and plenty of key words are brought
up where ideas could be related to and we have people to
tell us the possibility of the idea being brought to life.
The most important thing at client servicing is to make the
power point presentation most attractive to convince the
client and get the contract.

13. Project 3
Axis Cades
AXISCADES is one of India’s leading technology
solutions provider, catering to the futuristic needs of
Aerospace, Defense, Heavy Engineering, Automotive and
Industrial Production sectors.
This Event was a merger event where the two companies
Axis and Cades merged to form AXISCADES.
This event was a party for all the employees of Axis and to
let them know formally about the merge.

14. At Axis Cades I was asked to get music for the
presentation and was helping the whole Phase 1 team with
their work and help Riaz Basha the Master of Ceremonies
with his cue cards.
I was also asked to change the image on the screen to the
new logo from the old logos of the two companies.

15. Learning
Since this was the first onsite event that I was apart of I
learnt about the effort and the coordination that takes place
at an event. The way the Master of Ceremonies was briefed
was interesting.
The amount of effort in the coordination between the people
at the console to the people backstage is immense.

17. Project 4
Karnataka Premier League
Karnataka premier league is a League meant to be held in
the month of August and this League is where all the
Celebrities from Kannada Film Industry participate. The
celebrities split into a set of teams and play against each
other and create excitement for their fans. At this event
everybody is invited to watch their fans.

18. Scope Of Work
A Brain Storming was held where our team had to bring out
ideas and I had to think of various Anthems that could be
made for this event. I also had to do research of all the types
of colleges and schools in and around hubli. High resolution
images of various props that could be used for advertising
KPL were also asked to be done by me.

19. Learning
At this event plenty of Kannada Actors and Kannadigas are
involved and I got to know about various Actors and how
famous they are in the industry and how they got into the
field of acting.
I got to know of various types of entertainment at a cricket
match and got to know more about cricket.A

21. Project 5
Unicel
UNICEL Technologies provides Integrated Cloud
Communications Solutions across SMS, Voice, USSD,
and Email.
Unicel provides a complete range of communications
services through APIs that customers can directly integrate
into their applications.

22. Scope Of Work
The work assigned to me was to help the production
team and to coordinate with the people at the console
and the people backstage.
I was also asked to be helpful to the master of ceremony.
And to make sure that he gets all the provisions he
needs for his speech and to make sure all the changes in
the speech are given to him on time.
I was asked to give the prize in order to the person on
stage.

23. Learning
I learnt that a lot of coordination must be there
between the mc and the people backstage and the
setup must be perfect because we must preplan
even the smallest of thing like if the green room is
close to the stage and if we have enough mics for all
the people.

25. Project 6
AKKA
AKKA(Association of Kannada Kootas of America ) is a
non-profit, Educational, Linguistic and Cultural
Organization; incorporated under Non Profit Corporation
act of the State of Florida, to integrate, coordinate,
network and unite the activities of all Kannadigas and
Kannada Kootas for promotion and preservation of
Kannada language and culture in North America. AKKA’s
constituent units include executive committee, Board of
Trustees and Board of Directors from all the regions of
U.S.A. and Canada.

26. Scope Of Work
For the upcoming Akka event the people from the Kannada
industry must be taken to attractive places in and around San
Jose and to famous eat outs there. The work that was
assigned to me was to research on the famous Restaurants
and famous locations in San Jose and in San Francisco. I also
had to get High resolution images of various celebrities and
their details.

27. Learning
Got a lot of information about the various actors in the
Kannada film industry and their various events in the past.
Found out a lot of attractive restaurants and attractive places
for tourists in and around San Jose.

Aloft Bookers Party
A bookers party is held before the launch of any hotel.
The Aloft bookers party had invitees from the corporate
sector who would be their immediate ROI (Return on
Investment).
Since the party was held on the same day as the semi
finals of the IPL 2014, the theme of the party was IPL
where we screened the match live for the guests and
concducted a quiz called Booze and Brains to engage the
guests throughout. We had other little interactive
elements chalked out for the event which would keep
the guests engaged.

30. Scope Of Work
At the Aloft Bookers Party I was of help to the operations
team and I had to make sure that the gift bags were filled
with the chocolates and the shot glasses.
When the event started a game was played where each
person had to vote for their favourite cricket players and the
tabulation of scores of each player in the live cricket match
had to be done by me.

31. Learning
At this event I got to know the various types of lights and
how a presentation could be done with laser lights.
I also learnt that before an event the positioning of lights
have to be done and they have to be in coordination.
At the setup of the event a huge stage with an LCD screen
had to be put up and separate small stages near the screen
for the cheer girls who were cheering for the two different
teams who were playing on that day.

Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is a music festival which is going to be held at

biggest events which is going to be held by Phase 1. It is

34. Scope Of Work
I was a part of a meeting and we spoke about the advertising
part of the project and since it is happening in 12 different
countries I had to list down all the countries and its cities and
various platforms of advertising and all this data was put up
on an excel sheet.
I was also asked to put up website screen shots of the
websites which advertise and their different types of
advertising.

35. Learning
I became proficient in the use of excel. I also learnt
about various cities and their various modes of
advertising and their popular networking websites as
well as newspapers. I learnt that there are various types
of advertising and that before any big event takes place a
lot of effort has to be made in the background research.

37. Project 9
Aloft Hotel Launch
The Aloft Hotel Launch was the event held after the
Aloft Bookers Party.
This event was held where the guest were their potential
customers and their partners.
This event had plenty of entertainment for all their
guests including dancers and a live music band.

38. Scope Of Work
At the Aloft hotel Launch the work assigned to me was
to make sure that the dancers were there on time and to
make sure that nothing goes wrong. I was also asked to
make sure that valet was going on fine without any
delays.
I was also of help to the operations team for the setup.

39. Learning
What I learnt at this event was of the different kinds of
music and the fusions of different types of music.
The different types of camera angles to make sure every
part of the event was recorded from different angles and
how a laser presentation could be done.
I also got to know of various bartenders as there was a
flaming bartender doing various tricks at the evnt to
entertain the crowd.

41. Acknowledgement
I would like to thank Oum Pradutt for giving me this
opportunity to gain an insight into the events world. I
would also thank Rahman for all his support and
care. Additionally I would like to thank Dipika and
Maryam for including me and teaching me the
various components of an event patiently.
