Watching movies frequently as a child can negatively shape their thinking and personality by teaching undesirable life lessons that contradict what parents and educators want to teach. It can also train children in passivity which increases their risk for depression and other mental health issues. Films are even more impactful than television as characters have more time to develop and form stronger emotional bonds with children.
