Filming at Winter Wonderland provided a variety of scenic areas and opportunities to capture footage for a music video. While it was cold, the filmmakers dressed warmly and were able to get many random shots as well as planned scenes, such as from the top of a Ferris wheel. One challenge was that the glass on the Ferris wheel pod heavily reflected their images. Scenes around the fires were a main focus given the cold weather. Overall, Winter Wonderland gave the filmmakers valuable and diverse footage to complete their music video.

1. Filming in Winter Wonderland
Filming in Winter Wonderland personally was one of my favourite places
to film as there was so much to see and we had the opportunity to film in
a variety of areas throughout Hyde Park. It was the first time I have had
the opportunity to go to Winter Wonderland and definitely wasn’t
disappointed. Whilst filming we took random shots here and there to get
as much footage as possible and then we filmed our planned scenes like
when Jasmine and I filmed from the top of the Ferris Wheel.
It was very cold on the day so we had made sure that our outfits for
filming were warm and fit in with the location. We came across very few
problems whilst filming in Winter Wonderland, one being that when we
were on the Ferris Wheel it was quite difficult to get a decent shot of Hyde
Park as the glass that surrounded the pod that we were in which really
really reflected our image on the glass, also we only have a few areas that
we could get a clear shot from but fortunately we found one or two of the
shots that we had taken will work for the music video. One of our main
focuses of the evening was around the fires that they had built as it was
such a cold evening, so we had filmed from opposite ends of the fire and
the fire directly as we thought that this would work well at some of the
slower areas towards the end of the song.
Overall, Winter Wonderland was a great place to film at as it gave us a
large section of footage that we were missing and gave us a variety of
different shots that we could take.
