Trailers are much shorter than films, providing only abstract snippets of a film's narrative and editing at a quicker pace with more music. While trailers use the same footage, sounds, and titles as the full film, they focus on generating interest in the movie rather than telling the whole story, and may provide little sense of a film's actual plot. Both are promotional materials aimed at audiences, but films offer more comprehensive narratives than their trailer previews.
