This document discusses different types of figures of speech used in language. It divides figures of speech into four main categories: comparison, uniting, contradiction, and repetition. Some examples are provided for each type of figure of speech, such as similes and metaphors for comparison, metonyms and synecdoches for uniting, irony and sarcasm for contradiction, and anaphora and epistrophe for repetition.
