• “The concert was boring.”

• “The concert was as interesting as
watching paint dry.”
And another….
• “The bologna sandwich was gross.”

OR…
• “The bologna sandwich in the back
corner of the refrigerator was like a
nightmare.”
And even more similes….
• “The moldy potato stinks.”

• Compares two items, but does so with
exaggeration. Is not a simile!!!
