This document discusses the design, fabrication, and performance evaluation of a shea butter clarifying system consisting of two main units with three tanks each, capable of clarifying 170 liters of shea butter per hour. The system incorporates a heating mechanism, a stirrer, and uses sodium hydroxide and activated carbon as reagents to separate impurities, resulting in approximately 70 liters of clarified shea butter after testing. The goal of this innovative machine is to enhance the efficiency of shea butter production in Nigeria, thereby promoting local agricultural products and reducing reliance on imports.
