Rockwood Search is seeking management consultants for a variety of clients, requiring travel of 50-100%. They are specifically looking for the following backgrounds: 1) Capital markets consultants with experience in OTC derivatives trading lifecycle, operations, and technology; 2) Hedge fund/investment adviser compliance specialists with experience in Investment Adviser Act compliance and being a thought leader in the industry; 3) Banking compliance consultants experienced in Dodd-Frank, consumer protection, and fair lending. Candidates' experience levels and qualifications vary depending on the specific role.

1. Rockwood Search seeks management consultants at the Manager and higher level for permanent/salaried roles for a variety of
clients from smaller, well-funded boutiques through large national/global firms.
In particular, we are engaged in searches for the following backgrounds with our Management Consulting clients (note: all roles
require at least 50-100% travel):

All of the roles below are NYC unless otherwise noted.
Capital Markets (Managers through Senior Managers):
• SMEs in OTC derivatives trading life cycle, ops and technology.
• Focus is on operational improvement and risk management.
• MBAs preferred but undergrads are OK; highly prefer strong project management and/or PMP
• May come directly from Capital Markets provided they have managed relevant projects
• Typically 5 or more years of experience; Senior Managers typically generate revenue
Hedge Fund/Investment Adviser Compliance
•SMEs in Investment Adviser Act compliance.
•Focus is on Adviser Act, registration, written supervisory procedures/controls, independent reviews, outsource CCO
•High regulatory credibility with SEC and CCO peers, willingness to be a thought leader/visible industry presence
•Ideal: SEC examination experience + hedge fund CCO experience + management consulting experience (minimum of 2)
•Client has a lot of business to give, but will only consider the first string of the All-Star team
•Minimum of 10 years total (and current) regulatory experience with Adviser Act issues; prior production history not required
•NYC preferred, but may be in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Dallas
Banking Compliance
• SMEs in Consumer Banking Compliance
• Focus is on Dodd-Frank, Durbin Amendment, Consumer Protection Act, Fair Lending
• High regulatory credibility with FRB, OCC and Treasury peers
• Ideal: compliance generalist with law degree from a mid- to large-sized credit union
• Minimum of 10 years total (and current) regulatory experience with banking issues; prior production history not required
• NYC preferred, other Northeast locations considered.
Insurance Asset Management
• SME in Insurance Asset Management
• Strong Schedule D knowledge + project management within either an insurance company or an insurance asset manager
• 7-10 years experience desired
• PMP, Lean certification highly preferred
• NYC location
Banking (Project Managers):
• SMEs in risk (either Basel II or Dodd-Frank) or retail banking (ATM vendor selection, process mapping, rollout)
• Focus is on Project Management skills -- must have managed large, complex, multi-year/multi-phase/multi-million dollar
projects
• PMP and/or Six Sigma certifications highly preferred
• Does not need to come from consulting – industry experience alone is OK, consulting preferred
• Minimum of 10 years total experience; 20 or more not uncommon
Insurance or Financial Services (Practice Leaders):
• SME in either Insurance or Financial Services
• Focus is on operational transformation, governance, strategy and IT
• Must come directly from a consulting firm
• Must have identified, managed and pitched their own projects
• Must have strong leadership, thought management and staff development abilities
• 15+ years experience at least overall, with no less than 5 in management consulting
