In San Francisco and across the country, recreation and parks budgets have suffered greatly as municipal funding have been cut across the board. In order to sustain our public space and maintain a high quality of urban life, we need to consider new options to grow revenue from both private and public sources, and engage a new generation of volunteers concerned with enhancing community health and beauty.

2. FANSplash’s Mission
FAN's philanthropic goal this year has been
to revitalize Borggaard Beach by creating a
zero depth spray park that would be our region’s first
handicapped accessible water based recreational
facility.
3. Why FANSplash is Worthy of your Support
It is focused on polishing a true hidden gem that exists
in our town.
This splash pad will be the only public handicapped accessible
water based recreational facility in our region.
This facility would be multigenerational.
This project is also unique because by revitalizing this beach, it
would attract more users, which would then help to make this
facility self-sustaining and revenue generating

5. This project will be implemented this summer!
The FANSplash committee has been meeting regularly with Town
Representatives, including Tom Howley, Board of Selctmen and Mark
Twogood, Asst. Town Manager, since October to make sure this project
integrates the knowledge and expertise of all parties to ensure best
practices are implemented.
FAN has paid for, and the Town has under contract, the Landscape
Architect that will see this project to it's completion.
FAN has raised all the money needed for design and administrative,
and the basic splash park construction expenses and are currently
raising money solely for the purchase of the above ground elements.
Why can’t we delay the project until full funding is received?
Town has dedicated its time and resources to move this forward
We would forfeit $30,000 in design fees if it is delayed
