Kaziranga National Park (Assam)‫‏‬
Status: World Heritage Site
Located on the banks of the mighty
Brahmaputra River in the far North
East of India, Assam.
• There are more than 1200 rhinos in the
Park. Home to the unique one-horned
rhinoceros, one of the most endangered of
the five species found world-wide.
Apart from the rhinoceros, the other species of
wildlife to be found in Kaziranga include the
wild buffalo, swamp deer, tiger, wild boar,
Hoolock Gibbon, capped langur and hog deer
