Grand Parents (Age>=50 yrs)
General answers
• Generally they all stayed in joint families and many
people ranging from 6 to 25 stayed together.
• Mostly in every one’s house, father was the earning
member and the mother was the home maker.
• Prime responsibility of taking care of children and
house hold was on the shoulders of the mother and the
main job of the father was to take care of social and
financial matter of the house.
• Family life was totally different from that of the present.
Grand Parents
 Generally family life during the grand parents time
was little conservative.
 Parents didn’t discuss their matters with children.
 Parents especially mother spent much time with
children.
 Life was easy as joint family was prevalent.
 Mutual help and concern.
 Children were reared together, thus developed
social skills of tolerance and understanding.
Conclusion
 Family life during those times were simpler
with low cost of living.
 Man of the family earned and female
remained in house for the house hold.
 Joint family was common.
 Houses were big and independent.
 Families were united and together.
 Male dominating society prevailed.

started getting importance in the family.

 Most of the time is spent with the virtual world as
compared to the real world.

 Being professionals is one own decision not
decided by gender.
 Joint family has lost its charm.
 Houses reduced to flats.
 Families were united but separate.
