This document discusses the digitization services at Falmouth University and the University of Exeter, including the challenges faced with managing scans, complying with copyright law, and maintaining their in-house digitization system. It outlines the business case for adopting a new digitization system called TADC to improve management of scans, speed up the request and scanning process, and reduce the burden of ensuring copyright compliance. The benefits seen so far include smoother and faster processing of scans, increased scanning capacity, and availability of usage statistics. Remaining issues center around student data, restrictions on PDF files, additional logins required, and further integrating the new system.
