FaktorTel, one of Australia's largest privately owned VoIP providers, announced the acquisition of ATPNet's subscriber base and trademark. ATPNet is regarded as Australia's longest established broadband phone provider. The acquisition aims to expand FaktorTel's customer base by 5% and is the first step in FaktorTel's plan to grow its market share through acquiring other VoIP providers and organic growth. FaktorTel expects to complete the acquisition in the first quarter of 2014 without negatively impacting service for ATPNet customers during the transition.
