Overview
We’re 30,400 people who connect homes, mobile phone masts, schools, shops, banks, hospitals, libraries, broadcasters,
governments and businesses - large and small - to the world.
Our ‘Fibre First’ programme will expand the ‘full fibre’ (FTTP*) network in circa 40 towns, cities and boroughs initially, that
is 3 MILLION premises
We plan to reach 10 MILLION homes and businesses by the mid-2020’s
We’re building 12 state-of-the-art fibre engineering schools and recruiting 3,500 more engineers right across England,
Scotland and Wales. Many new staff are joining us in rural locations.
Thousands of ex-military people are playing a vital role in building Britain’s fibre network— SSAFA, the Armed Forces
Charity, are our main charity partner and Openreach employees have raised £100,000+ through different events for them
We work closely with Government, Local Authorities & 600+ ISP’s (who are our customers) to remove barriers and reduce
the cost of ever increasing the fibre reach
Over the past decade we’ve invested more than £11 BILLION into our network and we now manage more than 160 million
kilometres of cable stretching from Scotland to Cornwall, from Wales to the east coast, with 1000’s more premises
connected every week.

Overview
We can give you the full fibre connectivity you want-using our existing network and ducts –
mainly avoiding the need to dig up the streets
We can then extend this new connectivity to easily include local residents and businesses
If you want to keep it simple and cost-effective-work with the established biggest provider of fibre connectivity in Britain.
No requirements for complex long term deals.
We need a level playing field in terms of not being an exclusive Dark Fibre procurement environment.
Our proposition is designed to blend seamlessly with the existing Openreach network once built offering simplicity for
Local Bodies in terms of ongoing maintenance/upgrades and access to the fullest range of speeds and network products.
We have the people, the experience & a long history of innovation - our fibre network offers the best FUTUREPROOF
technology, the most retail CHOICES and the most competitive retail prices — making it the best for long-term
sustainability and economic GROWTH.
