5. Faith Is Trust When you go to the bank to deposit or cash a check that someone has written you, you are taking a step of faith. You may not think of it that way, but it's true. Chances are that you have no guarantee there are funds to back up that check, and yet you are presenting it to your bank on faith that you will get money from that check.

6. TRUST!!! An even better example...do you like to skydive? If so, you understand faith. You put on the parachute and jump out of the airplane. Even though you probably packed that parachute and even though it was likely double- and triple-checked, you still have no guarantee that the parachute will open. You are making a decision to TRUST that the chute will open - a decision backed up by your jumping out of the airplane!
