Faith is not hope or belief, and should not be based on feelings. Faith sees things as already done through God's word now, while hope expects things in the future. Belief accepts something as true but faith acts on it. The people of Nineveh demonstrated true faith through repentance and fasting when warned by Jonah, and God responded by not destroying them as He had planned. True faith expresses itself through actions, not just words, and is based solely on God's word rather than feelings.
