The trailer uses talking heads to describe the killer’s personality
before he committed the crime. This is followed by old photos
and re enactments. The trailer also uses an eerie soundtrack in
the background to add to the creepy vibes. The colour scheme
fits in with the 70’s theme with the orange and rusty photo’s
which was a key common colour scheme in the 70’s.
 The Netflix documentary “Abducted in plain sight” uses reanactments with narration of
the person being interviewed. The shots of the reanactments are used in many
different angles to make it look like an own recording and uses a film filter over it to
add to the aesthetic of own recording. The documentary uses many 70’s looking
aesthetic throughout the documentary. Another way they do this is how they mark the
different days, they use a typewriter font for the text which ties in with the 70’s
aesthetic as typewriters were mostly used back them for typing. It also ties in with the
look of looking like it was made at home as when people didn’t have computer access
at home but they had typewriters instead. This helps me by giving me ideas on how to
develop my own aesthetic for my documentary. The documentary also uses a slight
orange tint which is slightly used in interviews but used a lot during the reanactments
and photos. The orange tint helps me by choosing a colour scheme for my
documentary. The colour scheme I want to aim is the main colours of Gucci which are:
Red, Green, Gold and Black.
 The Lady Gucci documentary uses a lot if interviews to describe what
happened. Most of the interviewers are old police officers and people
who know a lot about Gucci. The documentary shows us shots of Milan
and old looking buildings so the voice over can relate to the shot they’re
talking about. The interview also has many newspaper headlines and
old photos which are very important as they’re pieces of history, I can
use them in the documentary because it would help me use key dates
in the documentary.
 A good way Night Stalker uses re-enactments is by only showing little
scenes to describe what happened and then using the full photograph
at the end to complete it. They also use old footage from news
broadcasts which adds to the fact that the case was in the 80's so it
gives it an authentic look. The interviewers are old police officers who
were working on the case at the time, when they describe what
happened they use re-enactments and their voice over to give full
detail. The photograph is usually a crime scene photograph, so it
completes the description to what happened.
