Background Mental health awareness delivers a wide range of knowledge and encompasses recognition and help seeking behaviour. Mental health services should be assess at ground level to monitor its delivery. Different mean of communication can use to highlight the mental health issues. Objective To identify the factor affecting awareness of mental health among adults. Materials and methods Quantitative research approach with descriptive design was adapted for present study. Total 126 adults were selected through systematic random sampling. The tools administered consisted of baseline data, structured questionnaire on factor affecting awareness of mental health. Descriptive and inferential statistics used for analyses. Result This study showed that the samples reported that majority of the factors affecting awareness of mental health was superstitious belief, history of mental illness, peer group. A Descriptive Study to Assess the Level of Knowledge and Attitude Regarding A...
ADHD attention deficit hyperactive disorder is a condition of the brain that makes it difficult for children to control their behavior .It is one of the most common chronic conditions of childhood. It affects 4 12 of school aged children about 3 times more boys than girls are diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactive disorder. ADHD attention deficit hyperactive disorder is a disorder make by an ongoing pattern of inattention and hyperactivity impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development. In this study a descriptive research design was used to assess the level of knowledge and attitude regarding attention deficit hyperactive disorder among 3rd year nursing students in a selected college of nursing in Lucknow with a view to develop an information booklet. Study result revealed that the majority of the subjects had good knowledge i.e. 50 , 30 of the subjects had average knowledge and 20 had poor knowledge regarding ADHD. Majority of the subjects 28 70 belong to the age group of 19 21 years, followed by 12 30 of the student belong to the age group of 22 24 year. In this study 5 12.50 were male and remaining 35 87.50 were female. The mean of knowledge score is 11.4 with SD 3.20415.The chi square test depict that education status of father and gender is associated with knowledge score, else no demographic variable shows any significant association with their demographic variable. In attitude score majority of the student 65 belong to the attitude score 21 40 had average attitude, 30 student belong to the attitude score 41 50 had good attitude and 5 student belong to the attitude score 1 20 had poor attitude regarding ADHD.The study results conclude that majority of the student has good knowledge and average attitude regarding ADHD. This study shows that there is a significant association between the level of knowledge with their demographic variables i.e. gender and father education .In attitude score there is a significant association between the level of knowledge and gender and age of 3rd year nursing student and there is no significant association between other demographic variables. Hence the curriculum needs to include behavior therapy for the health benefit of the students. The benefits of this study are that, by participating in the study, the students become aware of their existing knowledge and attitude regarding ADHD. This study examined the relationship between knowledge of HIV transmission and prevention and HIV counselling and testing uptake among young people in Nigeria. The study is a quantitative research guided by one research question and one hypothesis. The target population comprised young people in Nigeria ages 15 to 24 years because the focus of this study was to identify the factors affecting HCT uptake among young people in this age cohort. The representative sample was obtained from the updated master sample frame of rural and urban zones developed by the National Population Commission in Nigeria. This master sample frame was a national survey that comprises all 36 states in Nigeria [2]. Probability sampling technique was used to obtain a sample of 10091 respondents (ages 15 to 24 years) for the study. The multistage cluster sampling was used to select suitable young people with known probability. Data were collected throughout Nigeria between September and December 2012 from 32,543 households (rural = 22,192; urban = 10,351) using structured and semi-structured questionnaires. The individual questionnaires asked about household characteristics, background characteristics of the respondents. Data were analyzed by inputing them into SPSS v21.0 for analysis [4] and then coded them for each participant. The data were summed using descriptive statistics. Frequencies and percentages; measures of central tendencies were used to answer the research question while nonparametric test such as chi-square was used to analyze non-normally distributed data at 0.5 level of significance. Results of data analysis indicated that the cognitive factors of knowledge of HIV prevention and knowledge of HIV transmission were statistically significant predictors of the likelihood of having HCT uptake. It was among others recommended that stakeholders, authorities, and providers of health services in Nigeria should strive to increase the rate of HCT uptake among young people ages 15 to 24 years.Demographic_and_clinical_characteristics

This study was conducted to focus on the negative health outcomes related to sexual behaviour in adolescents and young adults attending public school in the Oworonshoki region of Lagos, Nigeria, Africa. Since, there is a relative dearth of knowledge on adolescents who face unique and challenging economics, health and education problems in our society. Data on the socio-demographic characteristics, prevalence and knowledge towards STD including HIV/AIDS, prevalence of sexual abuse practice/sexual behaviour, family planning awareness and acceptance including abortion practice were sorted out using self structured questionnaires and administered to 60% of student’s population using a stratified random sampling technique. 55.8% lived with both parents. While, 50.3% of the mothers had basic secondary school qualifications, 72.4% of them are traders. 61.5% had sex education were from misinformed friends/peers while 51% had no basic knowledge about sexual behavioral practice and attitude towards STDs/AIDS (HIV). STD has a prevalence of 34 and 41% of boys used condoms for preventing STI/HIV transmission and unwanted pregnancies. One out of every five sexually active teenagers has experienced forced sex, especially among the circumcised girls who were more sexually active than the uncircumcised girls. 60% of girls between ages of 12 and 18 years had more than one unsafe abortion with severe vaginal bleeding (haemorrhage) as the chief complication. However, 65% of the girls did abortion for fear of leaving school and financial hardship as the reasons.

This study investigated the roles of socio-demographic variables in influencing health and wellbeing after deportation. 182 deported participants completed questionnaires assessing health/wellbeing. 3 hypotheses were tested: 1) No significant sex difference in health/wellbeing was found. 2) A significant positive relationship between age and health/wellbeing was found, with older deportees reporting better health. 3) Deportation history and period of stay in deported country significantly predicted health/wellbeing jointly and independently. The findings imply that both male and female deportees need rehabilitation, and that assessment of deportees should account for age, deportation history, and period of stay in deported country.

College students showed high stress levels with more satisfaction were mostly smokers. Their major reason for eating junk food and smoking was, increase in stress. Conclusion Majority of students suffered from moderate stress levels. Despite of having stress they were happy and satisfied with life with less no internet addiction. Spirituality and stress scales had a positive correlation as most of the students were averagely highly spiritual. Abstract: Regular leisure activities obviously have their health benefits and effect on productivity and when
adults do not have enough of leisure activities or rest, there are bound to be negative repercussions. University
lecturers are expected to perform optimally, but there are mitigating circumstances like external stressors and
inadequate provision of facilities that may lead to stress and, if not well managed, can affect the productivity
level. This survey was conducted on Lecturers in Nigerian Universities where 250 were randomly selected from
six Nigerian Universities cutting across Private, Federal and State Universities. Five research questions guided
the study and two hypotheses were tested. A set of researcher-designed and validated questionnaire
‘Questionnaire on Lecturers’ Leisure Time Activities’ (QLLTA) were used to collect data. Analysis was done
using percentages, Chi-Squared and Factorial analysis. Results show a somewhat adequate awareness of
leisure time activities and provision of facilities; however Lecturers cited work and time constraints and family
responsibilities as possible deterrents to participating in leisure activities. The introduction of specialists like
leisure counselors, among others, was recommended to conduct leisure education.

Quality of Life and Psychological Well Being among Elderly Living in Old Age ...
This study assessed the quality of life and psychological well-being among 164 elderly people living in old age homes and with their families in Uttarakhand, India. The elderly living with families reported significantly higher mean scores for quality of life (97.44 vs 68.48) and psychological well-being (66.87 vs 45.32) compared to those living in old age homes. Within domains, elderly living with families scored highest in environmental quality of life and psychological health, while social relationships were weaker. The findings suggest living with families is associated with better quality of life and psychological well-being for elderly people than living in old age homes.

This study investigated the roles of socio-demographic variables in influencing health and wellbeing after deportation. 182 deported participants completed questionnaires assessing health/wellbeing. 3 hypotheses were tested: 1) No significant sex difference in health/wellbeing was found. 2) A significant positive relationship between age and health/wellbeing was found, with older deportees reporting better health. 3) Deportation history and period of stay in deported country significantly predicted health/wellbeing jointly and independently. The findings imply that both male and female deportees need rehabilitation, and that assessment of deportees should account for age, deportation history, and period of stay in deported country.

This study aimed to determine the stress levels in MBBS students. The present study was carried out in Ahmedabad City of Gujarat State. A total of 400 medical students were included in the study, which were selected using multi stage sampling aged between 18 years to 25 years. Substance abuse is a social problem in the entire world. The problem of substance abuse is growing in explosive manor. It has spread every part of the world’s all race, caste, religion, sex educational status etc. The adolescents are the most vulnerable group of substance abuse as compared to other population. The aim of the study to assess the knowledge of pyschoactive substance abuse among adolescents. A quantitative research approach with descriptive research design was adopted for the present study.100 samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was used to collect demographic variable. In clinical variable self structured questionnaires was used to collect data from adolescent age group between 12 18 .In result it This study shows that 65 65 had moderately adequate knowledge, 30 30 had inadequate knowledge and 5 5 had adequate knowledge on psycho active substance abuse among adolescents. The findings of the study revealed that, it is evident that majority of the adolescents had inadequate to moderate knowledge on psycho active substance abuse and they need to be educated about the ill effects of substance and their impact on their studies and the family. Background Adolescence is a stage of human development that occurs in between childhood and adulthood. Behavioural and emotional pattern experienced across adolescence can spiral into positive or negative outcome processes. Objectives To assess the pre test and post test level of stress and find out the effectiveness of mindfulness based stress reduction therapy, and to associate the post test stress score with their selected demographic variables. Methods and materials A pre experimental design was chosen. Non probability purposive sampling technique used to select the sample of 90 school students. Perceived stress scale was used to assess the stress level. Results effectiveness of the study point was estimate of 18.57 and interval estimate was 16.40 to 20.72 . Mean difference with 95 CI. Discussion Dawn Bazarko et al 2013 explained that the mindfulness was decreased the stress level p 0.001 . This was supported to my study. So, mindfulness had significant to reduce stress level among the adolescent students. Conclusion Statistical significance was calculated by using chi square test and student independent t test. So, mindfulness based stress reduction therapy had significant impact on reducing stress among the adolescent students. Mindfulness therapy is safer and more effective intervention in all settings. This study investigated whether older adults living in assisted living communities could experience successful aging. 200 participants aged 52-100 from 8 assisted living facilities in North Carolina completed questionnaires measuring successful aging, life satisfaction, depression, and sense of purpose. The results showed lower depression scores and higher successful aging scores. Women tended to experience more successful aging than men. The study provides evidence that older adults in assisted living can age successfully with preventative healthcare measures and support services. Larger, more diverse studies could further explore factors promoting successful aging.

Adolescent age group is a very susceptible group. These children are in phase of transformation from children to adulthood. Most adolescence manages this transformation but many of them are indulged in behaviors like sexual experimentation, exploration and promiscuity, and through which lands in the problem of unmarried motherhood, abortions, STDs HIV infection, sexual abuse. India has the largest population of adolescents in the world about 243 million , among them 69.5 getting married before 20 years of age, about 2.47 cases of HIV infected persons in the country and with sexually transmitted diseases. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching program on education in selected Nursing College of Dehradun in Uttarakhand.The quantitative evaluative research approach was used. Setting Himalayan College of Nursing, Jolly grant, Dehradun, Sample consecutive sample of 44 General Nursing and Midwifery GNM students. Tool self structure questionnaire to assess the knowledge regarding sex education was prepared. Intervention planned teaching programme on sex education.The finding of the study revealed that post test knowledge score is significantly higher than pre test knowledge score. The different between pre test and post test shows difference at the level of p 0.005. There was no significant association between pre test knowledge score and demographic variables. —Reproductive health development depends on the menstrual hygiene in adolescence. Half of all mental health disorders in adulthood start during adolescence. Drug, alcohol and tobacco use is major concern in this group. The present study was conducted to study the reproductive health, mental health and various addictions in urban adolescents. This cross sectional study was conducted among 506 adolescents from standard 9 th and 10 th in a high school in Margao city of South Goa district in year 2015. Study participants were sampled by census method and interviewed by using a pretested, structured questionnaire. The mean age of study participants i.e. in girls it was 16.30 years & in boys it was observed 16.43 years. 85.4% of the study participants experienced one of the feelings of being anxious, sad, irritable or stressed, 74.4% of the study participants experienced feelings suggestive of psychosomatic disorder and 48.4% participants felt they were good for nothing. 58.1% had normal cycles of 21-35 days while 30.7% and 11.2% of the girls had cycles of < 21 days & 36-60 days respectively. 49.2% experienced mild symptoms of dysmenorrhoea, equal percentage experienced moderate symptoms and 1.6% experienced severe dysmenorrhoea. 40.4% had curdy white vaginal discharge, 5.5% had greenish yellow discharge and 19.8% had blood stained vaginal discharge. 5.5% of the adolescents smoked.1.2% of the participants chewed Gutkha. 26.5% had consumed alcohol & 3.8% had tried drugs. Background:
Mothers nurture children early in life, in case of illness, she continues to provide caregiving role especially in the neurosurgical conditions like TBI. Psychosocial needs of mothers looking after children with TBI is over looked. Thus, the present study focused to understand the psychosocial needs of mothers providing care for children with TBI.
Methodology:
The study adopted the qualitative approach, 30 care givers were recruited for the study after obtaining informed consent. The data was collected in face to face interviews. All the interviews were audio recorded. Thematic analysis was used to for qualitative data and descriptive statistics were used for quantitative variables. The R software was used for data analysis.
Results:
The study findings reported that average age was found to be 32.13 ± 5.99 years. The majority belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL). All mothers have experienced mild level distress, anxiety and stress. From the qualitative analysis, the major themes were: information about the illness and treatment choices, financial difficulties, mothers personal feelings and concerns, social support and coping, and long term professional supportive care.
Conclusion:
There is an urgent need to provide psychosocial care for mothers’ of children with TBI during hospitalization as well as at home and need to form advocacy group in the community.

This document summarizes a study that examined health and hygiene awareness among self-help group members in Coimbatore District, India. The study surveyed 60 self-help group members and found that 48.3% had a moderate level of awareness, 33.3% had a low level, and 18.4% had a high level. There were significant differences found between awareness levels and factors like age, religion, and number of children. The study concluded there is a need to improve health, sanitation, and hygiene awareness through community organizations and regular training programs using various strategies.
A Study on Life Satisfaction of Disability People
Disability has a major impact on daily life and satisfaction in the activities of daily life, such as motor function, defecation, urination, bathing, and moving. Recently, the disability paradigm has gradually emphasized environmental factors and, changes have resulted, such as deinstitutionalization, the spread of independent living for persons with disabilities, and an increase in the desire for social participation. However, negative perceptions and attitudes toward persons with disabilities remain because of low expectations for their achievements and the tendency that they perceive themselves to be potentially rejected by society, which reduces their social participation. Social participation indicates participation in the interweaving of occupations to support desired engagement in community and family activities as well as those involving peers and friends that support social interdependence. This study conclude that 48.3 of respondents are moderate level of life satisfaction of disability people, 33.3 of the respondents are low level of life satisfaction of disability people and 18.4 of the respondents are high level of life satisfaction of disability people. Suicide ranks as the second most common cause of death for school students in the age group of 18 to 24. Suicide prevention among school students is therefore a high priority. Suicidal behavior among school students is a matter of great concern due to tragic loss of prime years of life it entails. Several factors in the areas of family, academic, socioeconomic, physical, marriage, occupation, mental health and absence of protective factors contribute significantly for suicidal behavior. Early identification and social awareness about the risk factors which influencing on suicidal behavior is done through the school based suicide preventive activities that includes teachers, doctors, school nurses, school psychologist and school social workers. So we can save the precious lives of school students. The majority of respondents included in the study 70 70 were in the age of 18 20 years. Majority of the respondents 66 66 were male. Maximum number of the respondents 44 44 were from 1st and 2nd year Public. Most of the respondents 83 83 were from Hindu religion. Majority of the respondents 47 47 were from nuclear families. A Study on the Mental Health Status and Cultural Issues Faced by Migrants
Migration is a people movement with enormous challenges for migrant women that influence their mental health. Mental health is a social issue and its determinants need to be accepted for health policy making. This paper reviews and consolidates findings from the alive literature on social determinants of immigrant women’s mental health within a socioecological framework. The research focuses on the problems faced by the migrants due to the cultural changes which effects their daily activities and health issues due to variation in weather, etc. Methodology The researcher followed descriptive research design for the study. This study is probability sampling due to the presence of universe. The sampling method adopted is simple random for the present study. The size of the sample was 60 migrants. Tools for data collection Interview schedule was used in the present study for the collection of data from the respondents. Mental health scale PMH scale lutz et al 1992. This study conclude that 60 of the respondents are moderate level of mental health, 23 of the respondents are high level of mental health and 17 of the respondents are low level of mental health. Assess Perspective and Knowledge of Healthcare Providers Towards Elehealth in...
Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. This study investigated the impact of educational background and professional training on human rights awareness among secondary school teachers in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. The proposed method uses state of the art convolutional neural networks CNNs and transfer learning to automatically recognize persons who are not wearing masks in a variety of circumstances. We discuss how this strategy improves public health and safety by providing an efficient manner of enforcing mask wearing standards. The report also discusses the obstacles, ethical concerns, and prospective applications of face mask detection systems in the ongoing fight against the pandemic. Mental health services should be assess at ground level to monitor its delivery. Different mean of communication can use to highlight the mental health issues. Objective:- To identify the factor affecting awareness of mentalhealth among adults. Materials and methods: Quantitative research approach with descriptive design was adapted for present study. Total 126 adults were selectedthrough systematic random sampling. The tools administered consisted of baseline data, structured questionnaire on factor affecting awareness of mentalhealth. Descriptive and inferential statistics used for analyses. Result:-This study showed that the samples reported that majority of the factors affecting awareness of mental health was superstitious belief, history of mental illness, peer group. Conclusion:-The study explored that majority of the factors responsible for mental illness was superstitious belief, history of mental illness, peer group. The modifications in the build developwith various stages of the life cycle. The adult is the stage of life at which an individual attains the physical and mental maturity. Mental health awareness delivers awiderangeof knowledge and encompasses recognition andhelp-seekingbehaviour. A study conducted in Zambia (2010) revealed that stigma and discriminating to the mentally ill client is still present in the community.1In a study in Tehran (2011) people reported that people suffering from mental illness are discriminated and not accepted in the community.2 In India, WHO reported that mental health problem ha as high burden as, 2443 DALYs per 100,000 population. The suicide rate is 21.1 per 100,000 population. In Uttarakhand, the incidence rate of postpartum depression was 11% among mothers and the prevalence rate of depressive disorder was 6% as per 2014 report. These belief and attitudes are a potential barrier to seeking optimal professional help.3 Material and Methods The descriptive method was implemented with systematic sampling technique in the study. Study was done on all the adults of Bhogpur village of Doiwala block, Dehradun, Uttrakhand. Total samples was 126. The data was collected through structured factor affecting awareness of mental health questionnaire and demographic details was obtained through baseline data. The tools were structured questionnaire on factors affecting awareness of mental health contains 15 question with yes and no response. Administrative agreement was attained from Principal Himalayan College of Nursing, SRHU. The ethicalpermission was taken from the ethical committee of SRHU than written consent of the participants was taken before doing the collection of data. IJTSRD29305

Culture and religion Yes 74 58.7 Table no.1 Showed that majority 87.3% samples reported that superstitious belief had effect on mental health, 83.3% of the samples were aware that history of mental illness was one of the factor that influence mental health, samples’ responded related to peer group could affect the mental health i.e 82.5% and mental health in the community was influenced by family environment i.e 81.7%, long term physical illness was 81.1 % and 81% were media and technology. Some other factors like financial status 79.4%, low esteem and low self-confidence 76.4% and social issues and social instability 76.2% had effect on mental health. DISCUSSION The study aims to recognize the various factors affecting awareness of mental health A total of 126 samples were selected in the study, through the systematic random sampling techniques. The discussion was done according to objectives and with supportive study Summary of findings In the study samples the majority 30.15% of the adults stayed in the age set of 31- 40 years. 58.7% were females, 57.1 % were residing in the joint family. Maximum of the sample 33.3 % had secondary education. Family income of majority 69.84 % of the sample was between Rs 5000- 10000. 65.07% were married, 95.2% followed the Hindu religion. Whole sample 100% had reported that they don’t have any source of information regarding mental healthand also don’t have any past history of mental illness. In the study it showed that various factors like superstitious belief, peer pressure, history of mental illness have influencing factor on awareness of mental health. Factors affecting awareness of mental health among adults The present studyhad acknowledged various factor affecting awareness of mental health in the community as superstition, history of mentalillness, peer groupandfamily environment. Similar studies were also done on factors. Chadda RK, Patra BN, Gupta N. (2013) reported that community mental health refers to the treatment of mental health disorders. According to manyepidemiologicalstudies of psychiatric disorder have been conducted in India on general population in the community. The prevalence rate varies from 9.5 to 370/1000 population. India is a culturally diverse country, explanations for mental disorders have been influenced by system of traditional medicine, supernatural beliefs, poor socioeconomic status of the people and limited awareness regardingmentalillness inthe community4 Gureje O, Lasebikan VO, Ephraim-Oluwanuga O, Olley BO, Kola L. (2005) conducted the study on knowledge and altered to mental illness. The purpose was to determine the community attitude and awareness. A multistage, clustered sample of household respondents was studiedin threestates in the Yoruba-speaking parts of Nigeria (representing 22% of the national population).Total2040individualincluded in the study. The study concluded that low knowledge is a concern in the community which leads to a negative view of mental illness. Stigmatization of mental illness was more prevalent in the Nigerian community.5 Strengths The current study had the following strengths: 1. Sample size was calculatedtodeterminethe appropriate sampling technique. Limitations 1. The opinion was on the basis of Yes and No which was limited to the area of response. 2. Small sample size limits the generalization of the result.
