Prejudice - preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual
experience.
Bigotry - intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.
Racism - the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or
abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or
superior to another race or races.

National Education Association: Racism is a system of advantage based on
race and supported by institutions, policies, and practices that benefit
dominant groups and disadvantage subdominant groups. Racism is a social
expression of power and privilege.
