Facebook is an American social media company founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and fellow Harvard students. Users can create profiles, add friends, share messages, photos and videos. It can be accessed from many devices through internet and mobile networks. Facebook allows users to connect with others globally and stay updated, but overuse has been linked to addiction, privacy and identity issues, and antisocial behavior in some cases.
