This document summarizes a study that measured the viscosity and density of tetrabutylammonium iodide (Bu4NI) solutions in mixtures of N,N-Dimethylformamide (DMF) and ethylmethyl ketone (EMK) at different temperatures and solvent compositions. The viscosity data was analyzed using the Jones-Dole equation to determine viscosity coefficients A and B. The B coefficients were positive, indicating strong ion-solvent interactions. Activation parameters for the viscous flow process like ΔH*, TΔS*, and ΔG2* were estimated and provided insight into the electrolyte's behavior as a structure maker in the solvent mixtures.
