Extremism refers to holding extreme political or religious views, while radicalization is the process by which individuals adopt increasingly extreme ideals that reject mainstream ideas of freedom and peace. People can become radicalized for various reasons, including exposure to propaganda online. Violent extremism, like terrorist attacks, crosses the line by using violence to promote extreme ideologies. To counter extremism, education about different groups is important, as is discussing any concerns with teachers or family and reporting anything related to extremism or radicalization to the authorities.

extremism’
Anders Brevik killed 77 people on 22
July 2011 at a Labour Party camp in
Norway. He has previously said the
mass murder was "necessary" to rid
Norway and Europe of Muslims and
multiculturalism and refused to plead
guilty.
Holding extremist views or
beliefs is not a crime but using
violence to justify them is!!
