1. EVHybridNoire is the Nation's Largest Network of Diverse Electric
Vehicle (EV) Drivers and Enthusiasts and serves as the voice of this
community. We are the first national, multicultural organization focused
on climate change, energy, transportation and environmental equity,
providing access for all, to next generation vehicles [Electric,
Connected, Shared and Autonomous vehicles].
Our focus is growing the number of diverse EV drivers, expanding
charging infrastructure to diverse and disadvantaged communities,
education and outreach, public policy advocacy as well providing
resources and access to underserved and diverse communities to
affordable clean and sustainable energy next generation vehicles and
platforms. Since we are part of this community, we well understand the
challenges to adapting to this new mode of Mobility. EVHybridNoire is a
501c3, non profit organization..

2. RIDE & DRIVES
We have found that the best approach to increasing EV
adoption is by having real world consumers engage
directly with electric vehicles. To this point we will facilitate
Ride & Drives.
Our approach has been to produce fun, user-friendly
events, in a non-sales environment, for people to ask
questions, talk to EV owners, learn about incentives, and
of course take the cars out for a test-drive.

3. We have engaged tens of thousands of diverse
consumers with Ride & Drives of clean transportation
options across the country
We have collected the most extensive data around
diverse/communities of color and clean transportation.
Best practices show that included in Ride & Drives
there be culturally relevant Marketing Materials
that are reflective of your targeted demographics
Based on our experience, The “One Size Fits All
Strategy” does not work well for all consumers

4. In order to move beyond EV early adopters we
have to begin engage communities outside the
scope of traditional audiences.
● Multi Cultural / Multi Lingual materials
● Vehicles at varying price points (affordable)
● Highlight EV Incentives Beyond Tax Credits
Rebates often have a greater impact
● Be mindful of barriers to EV adoption
Technology, Financing etc…

5. Dealer Engagement can be one of the most critical
pieces of a successful Ride & Drive.
Engage with Dealers in advance and develop a
relationship
Ensure that they understand roles at Ride & Drive
clearly. Who will handle waivers / insurance etc..
Make sure that the dealer staff is educated on EVs
If possible engage with OEM Regional Marketing Teams
