Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. 2. Everything You Need to Know About Branding,
Advertising, and Digital Marketing
Branding, advertising, and digital marketing are all valuable parts of the same thing
– marketing. These three things are all interconnected on each other. In this guide,
you’ll learn everything you need to know about branding, advertising, and digital
marketing in order to create effective marketing campaigns that capture your
target audience’s attention and interest, turn them into customers, and ensure
they’re coming back for more in the future.
3. Branding :
Branding is the set of processes like visual and verbal elements that makes a
strong, quality & positive organization's personality as perceived by customers or
others. In visual terms it could include things like logos, company colors (or
corporate colors), images and taglines. Productive branding helps companies make
different and unique trademarks from their competitors and build a loyal customer
base.
4. Advertising :
Advertising is to promote a goods or service by making announcements in various
public media. Advertisements are mainly done for both outbound marketing (to
gain new customers) and inbound marketing (to retain existing customers). The
main purpose of advertising is to increase sales through increased awareness of
products and services. This can be done through several methods including
television, radio, print publications, public publications such as newspapers and
magazines, billboards, posters, direct mailings or even word-of-mouth
communication and digital publication such as google, Facebook.
5. Digital marketing :
Digital marketing is a term used to describe marketing practices that uses the
Web-based channels (e.g., search engines, social media, blogs), mobile technologies
(e.g., smartphones, tablets), and other ‘digital’ or electronic devices as part of a
gaining-customer for your business. With these advantages it makes sense why
businesses are quickly acquiring digital marketing.
6. Why it is important for businesses to use all
three forms of marketing
Each platform has a different target market and will require different forms of
advertising. That’s why it is so important that as a business owner you understand
what branding is, what advertising is, and what digital marketing is. Once you are
aware of each one it will be much easier for you to use them properly in order to
promote your business. If used correctly all three can benefit your company
tremendously! The key to success with any form of digital marketing is consistency.
If you want people to recognize your brand name or product then you need to make
sure they see it over and over again.
