2. PESTA KOK 2018
UNIVERSITY of MALAYA
Pesta KOK 2018 is a special event organized by CITra. This event would be served as the
platform to gather the UM students from all different groups and programmes of KOK. It aims to
unite UM students of different races and backgrounds and provide an opportunity to UM
students for showing their own talents. This event will include lots of performances, exhibitions
as well as variety of team building activities that instil teamwork spirit among participants and
develop individual soft skill, thus apply it in their daily life.
AIM
To unite UM students of different races and backgrounds.
To provide opportunity to UM students for showing their own talents.
OBJECTIVES
Participants
To inspire and enhance participants’ capability and skills.
To have in-depth understanding for culture of each races in Malaysia.
Organizing Committees
To learn soft skills during KOK class and then apply it as performance.
To provide a platform for UM students to learn event planning skills and then success
an event.
3. Theme: POWER UP!
< POWER UP! > signifies the responsibility and mission of Event Management
Team to let Pesta KOK rush to a higher peak. The word of “POWER” in our theme not
only represent Event Management team, but also the meaning of strength of
individual and team. Everyone must have own talents, we must improve and equip
our strength first. Then, the word of “UP” means that we gather all the talents from
different groups and programmes of KOK, work together as a team of KOK 2018 to
make the Pesta KOK up. We should support and coordinate with each other in order
to success this event as our goal.

necessary for the successful delivery of the event

- Responsible for the efficient administration of the
event, particularly regarding the compliancy with
regulatory requirements

-Make sure the exhibitions run smoothly

5. DETAILS OF PROGRAMME
AIKIDO Performance
-AIKIDO will be performed by the UM students from the KOK course of GNEK1036 AIKIDO.
Chinese Dance (Mix of Modern and Traditional)
-Chinese Dance with modern and traditional mix style will be performed by the UM students.
Angklung
-Two song of Angklung will be performed by the UM students of group GREK1017 Angklung.
Exhibition of Traditional Rattan
-Traditional rattan made by the UM students of group GKR1005 Basic Sewing will be exhibited.
Drawing Section
-UM students of group GKR1001 Basic Art of Calligraphy will have a drawing people face session.
Exhibition
-Exhibition will be prepared by group of GKR1017 Photography, GKR1003 Basic Art of Painting and GKR1024 Basic Art of Caricature.
Inai and Joget Dance
- Inai and Joget Dance will be performed by the UM students of group GKR1014 National Heritage Dance.
Harmony Singing
-Two song which in Malay and English will be sung by group GKR1010 Basic Harmony Singing.
Performance
-Other performances will be prepared by GKV1001 Basic Self-Defence, GKV1002 Basic Exercises, GREK1011 Gamelan, GREK1014
Appreciation of The Taklempong, GREK1022 Elementary Guitar and GVEK1009 Taekwan-Do.
Basic Camping Activities
- Basic camping activities such as cooking will be carried out by UM students of GKN1001 Community Service.
