APPENDIX A:
One of our annual event “Eye On Canon” was held at Mid Valley Megamall in 2012. We made our second wave at Gurney
Plaza thereafter to capture the target audience in Penang. In conjunction with Canon’s 25th
year of establishment in Malaysia,
Canon celebrated its 25th
Anniversary by having special promotion up to 25% discount and RM25 deal on selected models.
Also, Canon was the main sponsor for UEFA Euro back in 2012, we rewarded our customer with merchandise for purchases
made during the event. We had attracted more than 15,000 visitors over 3-day of event, particularly also because we had an
up-closed meet-the-fan session with Canon brand ambassador Simon Yam and Penny Tai.
With the total of 7 years in Canon Marketing Malaysia, we have done more than 20 product/media launches, generated more
than 200,000,000 media value and attracted more than 100 pax for each media launch.

Canon Photomarathon – region’s
largest annual photo competition,
every year attracted apprx. 2,000
photography enthusiasts
participated in this event.
Objective of this event is to
continuously cultivate on-ground
photography skills amongst photo
enthusiasts as well as to reward
loyal Canon followers and photo
enthusiasts in Malaysia.
It is also part of Canon’s effort in
CSR through channeling of
proceeds (registration fees) to
charity organization & relief
centres.

invited to the Press Conference
@ Giza Mall, Full House Cafe,

and the celebrity host, Henry
Golding.
Canon and Henry caught on
well right from the start when
Canon was sponsoring
“Welcome to the Railworld” in
2010 and now it has developed
into Henry being appointed as
Canon’s Brand Ambassador for
2 consecutive years, to target
the Malay and English-speak
audiences, while we have
Simon & Penny to target the
Chinese audiences.
We also participated in Star Cheer 2011, an inter-school cheerleading competition held
in Malaysia, was organized by The Star’s youth platform R.AGE. The event is supported
by Ministry of Youth & Sports & Ministry of Education.

We worked very closely with media, especially Sin Chew Daily. Sin
Chew started its readership reward campaign in 2012, aim to
reward their readers by giving out prizes worth up to RM32,000 ,
included 200 prizes to be given away.
We had given full support by sponsoring our cameras in exchange
with PR and media value. It was a very successful campaign as it
had attracted more than 20,000 of submission over 3-month of
campaign. Eventually, Sin Chew’s readership has also gone by
30%.

Canon was the official imaging sponsor for Sin Chew
annual event Shopping Carnival, which target youth
at primary & secondary school. One of the key
highlight of the event would be the Sunshine Boy &
Sunshine Girl contest. We were the main sponsor and
I was appointed to be one of the judges during the
grand final.
We arranged Top 7 finalists (Sunshine Boys) to visit Canon Concept Store @ Mid Valley Megamall. I was
there to de-brief them on canon products.

We also worked with controversial rapper and filmmaker Namwee during his debut “Nasi Lemak 2.0”. However, we
discontinued our working relationship after he has made headlines again at a government prosecution.

Sponsorship – it was the most
prestigious Local Chinese Music
Award Ceremony to honour
outstanding Local Chinese
Artistes. We have been very
supportive in the Chinese
entertainment welfare, to build
good relationship and rappo with
the media.
Canon was the main sponsor for Astro Talent Quest for consecutive 4 years since 2010 – the most popular and highest rating
singing competition program in WLT.
