- 2. How do you attract/ address your audience? From starting this project my first intentions were to construct a magazine that would relate to my life and what I knew most about . I decided that the best thing to do was to build a magazine for the people that surrounded me and also were in my age range as I know what they are in to. As I do buy a lot of R&B / Hip-Hop magazines and I listen to that sort of music I thought my best bet was to stick to what I know .
- 3. Target audience I attracted my audience mainly by the front cover , as this is the first thing you see whilst looking at a magazine rack . I had to make sure that my idea to build and create this front cover was up to scratch . I had firstly produced a front cover but I didn’t believe that it was eye-catching enough to grab a readers a eyes I then went out and took another set of images to add on to my front cover . I chose a fresh set of models and loaned out a better camera .By adding on a specific , strap line , masthead and lures on the front cover I was able to select a good formula to good the readers eyes . Especially for a 16-19 year old .
- 4. Promotion I would like to publicize my magazine on music channels that feature my genre of Hip-Hop , R&B , Such as : channel aka , MTV (all versions) , Flava , Kiss and 4music . As I believe those channels are what most teens that like the genre of music that I have chosen listen to watch to catch up with latest music gossip and top charts . I would also like my magazine to b advertised on music related adverts and in local music stores such as HMV and Superstores .
